EC on Monday 😃 HCG question

Hi ladies I had my second stims scan today and the follies have been cooking up nicely so I'm all set for Monday EC 👍🏼 Can't believe we've actually made it this far! The nurse told me to do my HCG injection at 11:30pm Saturday with EC booked for 11:30am on Monday morning, then I'm sure she said so that they're 12 hours apart. But surely that would be 36 hours unless I'm meant to do HCG on Sunday night. Can I double-check with you all whether Saturday night sounds about right for HCG if EC is Monday or has she told me the wrong day? Sorry for asking a daft question but I don't want to mess it up having come this far. Thanks so much xx

Hi! Oh good luck I have my EC on Tuesday 😄 . If it helps the nurse told me to have my HCG on Sunday at 9pm with my op planned for 8.30am on the Tuesday. Feels a bit surreal that we now got to the EC stage, exciting and scary. Hope all goes well for you x

I'm pretty sure Saturday is correct, but I'd need to check my paperwork. I remember them saying to me that you'd get 1 whole day off from having to do any injections before collection.

Are they there on a Saturday? Might be worth putting your mind at ease, it's not worth the additional stress X

Thanks Hollibob . I'll called the hospital to double-check and it is right that it's Saturday night so 36 hours before EC. I'm glad I checked as its one less thing to worry about. Hope all's well with you xx

Mine was on sat night at 11pm for EC mon morning at 11am. But best to phone them if you can, I'm sure they're probably there on a sat and better to hear it from the pros! Good luck x

Mine was at 8.30pm the Monday evening with EC at 8.30am on the Wednesday. It's worth checking as the others said to stop you fretting. Good luck! Xx

I imagine they are used to us checking and double checking. It's a massive deal isn't it and such responsibilty to do everything perfectly!

Hi, it's definitely 36 hours you need. I did mine at 2145 and was in for collection at 0815 on the Monday. Good luck

If you're in any doubt you should phone them but I was 36 hours xx

Good luck. EC was totally fine, don't remember a thing from when I went to theatre and only mild cramping afterwards so don't worry about anything

That sounds right. The HCG needs to be do everything exactly 36hrs before EC (Unless told otherwise). 12 hrs wouldn't be long enough. Good luck tomorrow xx

Yes it's a big step! EC now! Have you got some time off to rest afterwards? All ok with me thanks lovely...just been away for a few days in Prague with my mum x

Well I'm working from home on Tuesday so I can be comfy if I'm not feeling too clever and then I'm planning to have time off after ET so I can relax and rest then (fingers crossed we get to that stage!) Hope you had a fab time in Prague 👍🏼 xx
