I just wanted to see if anyone has any advice...we have our first appointment at the Fertility clinic in a couple of weeks (this is the nurse led one that lasts approx 45mins). I have a scan booked for the day afterwards. We know we have male infertility factor but presumably they'll want to do more tests on me (I have irregular cycles also) which I'm assuming they'll organise at that appointment. Just wondered if you guys can think of anything I need to know / any questions we need to ask at this appt?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Hannahi, they will go through all paperwork with you and also do more tests, mainly blood tests. Use this opportunity to ask them anything you may want to know regarding procedure etc. Your Partner will also be told to give a sample at a later date too. Later down the line, Diane Arnold can provide you with a list of questions to ask your consultant. Feel free to inbox me if you wish and I'll provide a more detailed answer to any queries you may have.
Just to say hi, and I also think messaging Diane would be a good idea. The only thing I would say, which probably you have done already, is make sure you are happy with your clinic and have researched their success rates thoroughly and compared with other clinics. As well as the hfea ones, you can ask them for more up to date stats. I went with a local clinic, but now wish perhaps I had gone a bit further afield to one with better stats.. where I now am for my DE cycle.
That's a good point coracle thanks. I am using a relatively local clinic, success rates looked similar to others when I looked but must admit didn't research v thoroughly...I will do now, although a bit late to change my mind now probably. Thanks though for that, much appreciated.
