I found out on Monday that I've been accepted for treatment and am starting clomid on my next cycle.....yay!!!!!!! The only thing is that since then I've been feeling really anxious...mainly that it won't work or that something will go wrong!?!? Is this normal?? I don't think I can take anymore heartache 😕

Hello, I started Clomid in January after ovarian drilling and a lap and dye following a PCOS and endometriosis diagnosis that was stopping me ovulating. The hospital told me to have a blood test 14 days after finishing my first round (even though I told them when I had periods years ago my cycles were about 40 days). The results came in and they told me I hadn't ovulated (which I was devastated about) and advised me to go back to the GP to get more Norethisterone to start a bleed and then begin my second cycle of Clomid. My GP advised me to take a pregnancy test before taking any medication - turns out I was 5 weeks pregnant!

I'm now 15 weeks with a healthy baby and am still shocked that it worked when I'd convinced myself it wouldn't. Just keep an open mind and try not to read too much about it, take it in your stride. I'm proof it can work and there are plenty of women it does work for. Best of luck! x

Hi Jaynelb86. Lots of ladies feel anxious at the thought of starting treatment with Clomid, but it is a drug that has been around many years, and in lots of cases it is all that is needed. I think you need to remember that you are in the system now, so your treatment will be ongoing, even if the Clomid doesn't work (I hope is does), so I am sure your consultant will look after you. Good luck! Diane

A few words of hope. Not sure if your already ovulating or not but I was already ovulating but decided to try clomid after 3 years of trying. I just got my BFP on the second cycle I don't think it's a coincidence. There is lots of stories also of ladies who were not ovulating took clomid and got they PFP. Good luck xxx
