I'd be interested in your advice and opinions on the guaranteed price plans I've started to look at. It seems too good to be true-
Pay £X amount and have unlimited cycles with a refund if no live birth??
Surely there is a catch here

We are doing a DE program 3 cycles plus any frozen if no live birth 70% refunded which is good for DE as it can be expensive xx
And do you pay higher price having this option?
I can't work out how it's viable for the clinic?
Hi! We have done a multi cycle option (no refund) this includes 2 fresh cycles & all frozen transfers (if there are any) A lot to pay up front but it takes out the worry - only have to pay for meds & any additional blood tests & initial consultation.
I thought the same as you - too good to be true! Xx
Hi I am currently on the 2 multi cycle 50% refund through Access. It is quote expensive but I feel better knowing that I will get 50% back if I am unsuccessful after 2 fresh rounds of ICSI. All FET are included in that (which do not count towards your 2 fresh go's). Hope that makes sense. Let m know if you need any further info.
hi PB265. had the same thoughts about money refund guarantees and actually I chose a clinic with "unlimited" number of attempts (5 if to be precise). If all of them are unsuccessful you'll get your money back. sounds really a bit fantastic but i was assured it's real. It's like another way to show that fertility specialists are confident in positive result. We'll see. I hope I can become a mommy from the first attempt anyway
Oh I wish you all the luck. Could I again ask the cost and type of treatment, I'm trying to get an idea of what to expect
Thank you! It costs 9900 euro, includes 5 IVF attempts with donor eggs, icsi for each round, medications. the clinic also provides transfer, accommodation, food, driver, interpreter services. it's very cheap in comparison to what I've seen in other places, even if you don't need that many attempts
Wow that's good value! I'm getting quotes of £16K for refund cycles with 3 live ICSI
I've used Access Fertility, 3 rounds with ICSI and all FETs with 100% refund if not successful for £12400. I am 32 and age does affect the price xx
oh that's too much as for me, as the conditions are almost the same but 2 additional attempts and full support throughout your stay there. i'll also have fresh cycle because this fertility center has a great number of donors so there is no need to freeze eggs, easier to retrieve and fertilize them when they are fresh.
That is possible. If it is 5 attempts of ED IVF I think that the chances to fail are very unlikely. I mean, they use fertile donor's eggs of the best quality and fertilized with the best swimmer. The embryo is transfered on the blastocyst stage and only when the lining is ready. they create the best conditions for achieving pregnancy...
After all we could know it only if someone tells us such kind of story. But I hope that it won't never happen and let the ivf cycles end with success!
There is no catch. We looked into that and in the end opted for the 2 cycle multicycle plan. It doesn't have the refund element but was cheaper and it covers everything. They only count a success as well as a live birth. So even if you got pregnant and miscarried it wouldn't count unlike the NHS who count a success as fertilisation. Access fertility are lovely over the phone and if you are unsure you should phone they really helped me out xx
