Multiple cycles and refund programmes

Hi all.

I've been doing a lot of research over the last few days for our next cycle.

Do any of you have any experience with multi cycle pre payments or 100% refund programmes.

My clinic offers both these in conjunction with access fertility.

Love Lynsay xx

Have you gone through any of the cycle? I was going to use that, but opted to pay single on my own abroad. And ivf was successful first time- so I ended up saving much more without using it. It depends on so much factors ( in my opinion)- consider probability of success etc. xx

I've just had my 1st failed cycle. Which was funded by the NHS.

We don't have our review appointment until the 10th of August but I'm planning ahead.

We thought this cycle would be a good cycle but it ended in bfn.

I can inbox you directly if you want. I did the calculations financially and use provability to ascertain the best thing to do. My IVF doctor is quite good as well. At the end of the day, I am happy with the choice I went with- but I considered several factors xx

Hello!

I'll be looking at access fertility for a refund package for DE, my friend used them and the same clinic for refund package and got pregnant with the 1st round, although it was her last frozen embryo that worked, so had 4 frozen ones before getting her pregnany. She had chemicals with the previous 4 frozen cycles. She said the clinic were amazing and from her workings out including 5 transfers she's about broke even compared to her paying for 1 cycle and all the extra frozen transfers xx

Hi I used access fertility & chose their 2 cycle 50% refund cycle, I got pregnant on the first self paid go so in effect we have paid more than a standard single round of ivf by about £2-3k I think However if this hadn't have worked having a frozen round after the 1st would have made it cheaper so we chose it knowing that we would in effect lose money if the first round worked but it also let up that pressure on the finances if it hadn't so we don't care that we've paid a little extra and we still have a frozen embryo which the storage is paid for for the next year by them xx

Hi Lyndsay, its a real tough one. The problem is you just never know how many cycles you will need to get pregnant. I am 44 and decided to use access fertility for certainty that I would have 2 rounds with icsi and know at the outset how much it would all cost with no surprises. I was not eligible for any NHS funding so it has been very expensive for me. Nevertheless, the programme I chose entitled me to 2 rounds, with freezing and unlimited transfers with lots of other things including Time lapsing imaging. I decided that I would only want to try twice due to my age with my own eggs. As it happens I was very luck to get pregnant on my first round with only one little Emby from that round as sadly the rest didn't fertilize so it was a very special Emby! I am praying we go all the way together and provided it all works out I wont be entitled to any refund for the round that I hopefully don't ever have to use. However it seems like a small price to pay for something so very special. I think if I added up everything on its own and had had to use both rounds I have saved around a third which is a lot. Good luck with your decision :) xxx

I'd be interested in what you decide as I think that's an option for us if this cycle doesn't work. I like the idea of the certainty of how many cycles you do and then I'd call it a day rather than thinking just one more. I'd be interested in what the conditions are for acceptance on the refund program x

We went for a multicycle package. It worked out much better for us. You may see a single cycle cost as a lot cheaper but then you have all the extras that you have to factor in where as the multicycle has it all covered. We didn't go refund in the end purely because it was a much higher sum straight up front

Please could you tell me how the multi cycle package works? Xx

We have signed up to a 3 fresh cycle 100% refund programme with access.

We get 3 egg collections plus any FETs all included in the price.

But if it successful on 1st cycle and we get our miracle that's the end of the process.

It is a lot of money to pay out initially but I have got the peace of mind that if we have to go again I don't have to worry about finding the money.

Hope this helps xx

Sure so we paid upfront for 2 cycles. Because we paid for 2 upfront it was cheaper than paying for one cycle then if it failed paying for a second. The risk is if it succeeds on first cycle you have paid for 2 for one success. However it did included everything - scans, appointments, treatment the only thing it doesn't include is drugs.

I used access fertility with the DE program, my first DE cycle failed and I got pregnant on my 2nd try so worth every penny and would have cost us more doing it seperatly xx

Hi, if anyone can give me any info I'd really appreciate it, I've had 1 cycle on the NHS which unfortunately was not successful & now I'm looking at the private option the hospital I had my nhs cycle with charge £2750 for ivf cycle plus medication estimated at £800. If anyone has any info about multi prices please let me know, finding it difficult to find a private clinic & costing xx

I've just spoken to access fertility and they are really helpful, they've emailed across all the prices for the clinics that I'm interested in. The multi cycles look really good. Xx
