Since I've give up caffeine, and started my first lot of injections... I'm shattered by the evening? Anyone else like that? My poor husband I'm tired all the time!

Hiya, I gave up caffeine a good 6 months before I started treatment - it was like I was giving up cocaine or something! I was tired. In fact it was a bit weird when I started injections too. But I just made sure I got lots of iron in my diet xx
I still have the odd Coke Zero on weekend, I've had two all weekend but no caffeine in week... and that's only cause I go cinema, I do feel awful tired xx
Hi hun I've also given up caffeine literally all lol and I feel really tired yet I can't fall asleep as quick as I did at night xx
I gave it up a month before treatment because my coffee machine broke lol. Felt so rough for a few weeks but you do get used to it. I now have a variety of herbal teas. Vanilla rooiboos is very nice.
I've stayed away from coke and tried to limit chocolate aswell because if I have them it just starts the feeling like crap again.
There's that gold one with no caffeine and sugar. Maybe you could trick yourself.
I'm quite shocked about how bad I felt without it.
Took the folic acid and a multivitamin with iron. Then just tried to eat healthy. I'm still trying to follow slimming world so it's minimum fat, low sugar plenty of fresh veg etc. Oh and plenty of water
I am the type of person that needs her caffeine! However, I make myself a green smoothie every morning... I felt energised and when I stopped the caffeine didn't feel tired at all. I used to have one decaf if I was desperate.
There's other ways to bring your energy levels up that can compensate the caffeine and better!
Just keep frozen veg in the fridge and it's easy. I've been doing this for a year now and now don't miss a day!
Good luck!
I think a big part of it is the emotional toll this all takes on us! Enough to knacker anyone x
