I feel like it is a common question on this forum. Haha

Maybe try and find some threads about acupuncture as I have seen lots of them with all kinds of different advice!

Good luck!

I started acupuncture after my first failed round of IVF, and this second time round my egg quality had definitely improved, my period pains in between treatments went completely, and it helped me sleep better (I'm a stress head!) but who knows! I think for me the feeling that I'm doing something helps me during all the waiting!! Xx

i have unexplained infertility & had traditional chinese acupuncture for a few months last year in the hope of conceiving naturally.

my practitioner recommended x2 weekly treatment, as well as other herbal tablets. unfortunately it didn't work & ended up being fairly costly.

other people seem to really rate it though. defo go somewhere well reviewed!

I've been having acupuncture for a few months now and only started down regging yesterday! I find its really helped with my periods - minimised pmt and made the flow (sorry tmi) lighter, less painful. Its also helped with my digestion, sleep pattern and anxiety. I see someone once a week who specialises in fertility so I'm confident they know what they're doing...if it does nothing to help, it's made me feel better about it all!

I did acupuncture for quite some time-it didn't help my fertility sadly but I am an older lady so I may not be a good example but I know it was doing some good as cleared up other issues I had!! It gets pricey so I wouldn't do it over a really long period but maybe in the lead up and during treatment.anyghing that makes you feel positive.a lot of people swear by reflexology x

I've had acupuncture throughout 2 cycles of IVF and since during pregnancy and have found it has really helped in both. My 1st cycle didn't work but egg quality was good and it's helped pain, stress, digestion, and lots more. Just do what you can afford with money and time and only do it if you feel its not adding stress to do it if that makes sense! X

There's an amzing lady in essex if you are near. I chose reflexology and reiki and had this on and off for 6 months. It helped in all the ways described above and I conceived naturally after waiting over 4 years.

Acupuncture is a form of Chinese medicine using needles whereas western medicine uses drugs, you just have to consider that western drugs is not the only form of medicine. Acupuncture is used for a whole host of problems I even read that acupuncture can be used to sedate people for operations. Before fertility I never had any acupuncture but I would definitely recommend it. I am seeing a guy who pratices a range of hostilc treatmemts including acupuncture and I feel so relaxed when I go. he checks my pulse each time and energy levels he can tell when I have a knot in my stomach and when I'm conspiated and when I've been drinking alcohol it's really nice that someone is able to recognise these and help relieve the symptoms and apparently will with blood flow and energy which in turn can help with ovulation and implanting. I'm not saying acupuncture alone will.get you pregnant but I think it is worth a try along side the western drugs if you can afford to I see this as my monthly treat instead of buying clothes or night out drinking which I use to do when my life was normal and carefree :-) xxx

Acupuncture, Reiki and Reflexology are great - even if they scientifically aren’t proven; I think that they help you to relax and (possibly most importantly) make you feel like you’re doing something to help. I have all of these treatments and I think of them as my reward for going through IVF! I spent time carefully researching for practioners in my area who are specialists in fertility. I’m pleased with those who I now work with, not only do I enjoy amazing regular relaxing treatments, but they’re my support network. They know the process, protocols and drugs, they understand how Im feeling, they give you positivity, empathy and answer questions that you probably wouldn’t ask your clinic. You’ve got to do what works for you. Lots of love and happy thoughts xx
