I started reflexology after my tubes were both removed, I wasn't really aware of it before, but so wish I had known, as my therapist who specialised in fertility said she had been able to unblock previous tube issues. Wether that's true of not I don't know but I loved going for it and was going for several months before my first cycle and I'm sure it's the reason that cycle has the highest number of eggs and only blasts from that cycle. Sadly it went onto be a chemical with both the fresh and frozen, but my advice to you would definately be to give it a go and see how you get on, but only with a therapist who specialised in fertility xx

I’ve done all of them 😬. And I love them all for different reasons! Fertility massage is great - my repro reflexologist does both. I also had manual lymphatic drainage before this current round too. My consultant was super excited about that plan, which I took as a positive! Yoga is great for blood flow, balancing & calming, lymph and liver flow... just everything really. And acupuncture is also fab.... can’t give you anything success wise (🙏🏻🤞🏻) but all I would say is choose what you love and what feels right. It can be overwhelming to do too much (as well as blooming expensive!!) and I’m sure half the battle is loving the therapy you have. Good luck xxx

Hi loopielu really really thank you for your time and getting back to me. Im kind of confused as to what do iselect from all above also all treatments are soooo expensive I have to be careful. Per your suggestions... thinking to take a mix session of reflexology and massage along with acupuncture. Ihave never tried any of these so will see how it goes. Will update you. Thanks again xx

Howdy MK05 ! I hope that this find you well. I have been doing acupuncture lately! I don't need it for my fertility... At this point nothing can bring me back my fertility. It just that acupncture is very fun to do regardless. I feel super relaxed and fresh after every session! Based on what I have heard acupuncture can increase fertility by reducing stress, increasing blood flow to the reproductive organs and balancing the endocrine system! At least a quick google search will give you this. So definitely try acupuncture out. You will thank me for this regardless. I am sorry that I couldn't provide info for the other things. I don't want to mislead you. Maybe ask a professional for better answers. You gynecologist or any doctor will do... God bless you and may all your dreams come true!

Hi hunn sorry didn't read the part where it said one tube blockage! when I was diagnosed with that (hydrosplinx) I had a lap & dye test and then they removed the scar tissue wich resulted in the hydrosplinx going! I whent back a thew months later again just for a HSG (dye test) and that showed that the op had worked and my tubes were open.. they referred me straight for IVF as my hubbys sperm quality wasn't great either..

Got my first appointment with consultant roughly 14 weeks later..

For my FET IVF I started my accupuncture 3 weeks before transfer, once a week. First appointment £55 follow up sessions £45 and then week of transfer one session day before transfer and another the day after.

Have you had a lap to remove blockage? Xx

Hi sweetie thanks getting back to me xxx no I have decided to go straight for ivf due to timing issues so not have chance to do laparoscopy but have around 2 to 3 months waiting time for ivf so thinking to try any of the above stuff. Your comments are really helpful xx

Hi, I have been TTC for three years due to endometriosis damaging my tubes. We have had 3 failed IVF cycles. I started having acupuncture 14 months ago just before our third failed cycle. I was hoping to go into a fourth quite quickly but my acupuncturist’s advice was that my ‘pulses were deficient’. So I took my lead from her and saw her regularly for the best part of 12 months. She advised to not do sport (I had been jogging, playing netball and hockey) so I took up yoga (begrudgingly, but it proved to be my little bit of peace and calm as well as exercise!) I also made changes to my diet to try to help (I ate healthily anyway, but I introduced a few foods that were recommended to me). We had two cancelled cycles over the summer (frozen embryo transfers without medication) due to me apparently not ovulating and then a medicated cycle starting this September........ and we’ve had a positive pregnancy test! I have to attribute some of this to the acupuncture I received (as well as luck!!) at the start of my sessions with my acupuncturist I was ovulating on day 9/10 of my cycle, which I was told was too early and if one part of your cycle isn’t ‘right’ it can impact on other parts. Through acupuncture my ovulation day moved towards 12/13/14. If you find a good fertility acupuncturist I believe they can help. I was trying to make a decision between reflexology and acupuncture and found an acupuncturist first, which made my decision as to which way to go. I would be hesitant to mix too many different therapies in case they undermind what the other is trying to achieve (my acupuncturist doesn’t even recommend seeing two different acupuncturists (story behind this but I won’t bore you!)

Hope you manage to get a plan sorted and wishing you lots of luck! Xx

Hi murfster first of all really thankful for your time and getting back to me.many many congrtas for your positive test. . You didnt bore me.ok. in fact I really appreciate everyone in this group supporting each other. It's really great.

Hmm yes I had fertility massage session today and found that the women had good knowledge as she figured out that I have got tillted uterus. Now how much massage will help fertility I don't know. Booked a session for acupuncture on Wed. but like you said too much wouldn't be good either so am confused what to choose...From message.. Reflexology and acupuncture....So sorry to bother you am always confused

Maybe see which you prefer? Though I went for acupuncture knowing I don’t really like needles (though I’ve pretty much gotten over that with injections and blood tests etc!) I imagine there is lots of ‘research’ out there to ‘show’ what impact each of the different methods can have....I use inverted commas as my fertility clinic seemed dismissive of advice I had from my acupuncturist and the impact she was having which made me worry we had wasted the best part of a year (plus quite a bit of money!) but it worked....!

I don’t think you can ‘get it wrong’ but maybe pick something you find relaxing and with someone you feel comfortable with as the therapist can become a good source of support, advice and almost a councillor! I was sceptical as to how much ‘alternative’ therapies could help, but after three failed cycles we felt we needed to try something different!

Good luck!! X
