Unfortunately our test day is today and we got a negative. It's been our first round of ivf with Icsi but our only funded round! Gutted to say the least, I haven't had a bleed yet though so gonna call clinic see what they suggest happens next.

Oh no that doesn't sound good but you said you haven't a period. Did you do a home test ? As the blood test are more accurate.

Be positive hopefully everything turns out good for you.

Yep just a home test, waiting to speak to nurse to see what she suggests, I think it should show up on home test by now even faintly xx

Speak to your nurse an see what she says. As our nurses here do a blood test on either 12 or 14 days after to confirm. be positive an hope for the best. Xx

I know how you feel about it being the only free go, as we are the same and that I hope mine has worked it's just so unfair, but I'm not feeling very confident right now xx

I tried to keep positive but it just wasn't meant to be, my clinic do a ivf refund and multi cycle program which Im gonna look into as its meant to be cheaper to do using that. Stay positive for good news xx

Yeah I have to say I've heard of a programme where you get your money bk if it's doesn't result in a positive, but it then finding the money, oh it's all such a horrible circle xx

Exactly, we are lucky that we can do the funded round but obviously would have preferred the NHS cycle to work, we had none frozen as not good quality so in normal circumstances would have got a FET as part of funded nhs but now we won't. X

Yeah that's the same as us we didn't have any to freeze. But we don't have the money so will have to start saving if it hasn't worked 😢 Xx

Sorry to hear your news. I never bleed while on the progesterone and always had to wait extra days and test again. Leaves you with a little hope bit also prolongs the pain. Bfn's are so hard. Take time to recover before planning your next move. Sending hugs xxx

We were the same, one funded go only. Thankfully we have the Frosties and using them is so much cheaper than a fresh round because a fet was not included for us. I got my period a few days after stopping all medication; progesterone and hrt patches.

I'm so sorry Laura it is really heartbreaking to get a bfn, we had exactly the same last year with icsi and our only funded round. It was very heard but we came through it, some advice is take some time out for yourselves now, look after yourself through this initial grief then do somethings together as a couple to help heal.
