I have not posted on here for a little while and following on from Donor egg transfer in Spain at the beginning of December.
I just wanted to say a really big thank you to a few ladies on the forum that have contacted me and have been a great support to me and provided well wishes. The power of this forum is great. There are so many people going through such emotional and tough times but the commradery is amazing.
There has been a lot of things going on over the last few weeks and a few emotional moments so here goes.
Back towards the end of November we travelled over the Spain for donor eggs. This was following 6 failed ICSI rounds. This was our last chance/opportunity. We had amazing results with 15 eggs collected, 13 were mature, 11 fertilised, 1 embryo transferred as a blastocyte and 9 managed to get to blastocyte stage as well and were frozen - miracle 1.
On 15 Dec was the end of the dreaded 2ww. I was secretly hoping for good news but you just can not tell until you really have the results provided. We were amazed that we got a BFP. For the first time ever - miracle 2.
I had to go back for a repeat blood test 4 days later following a medication change as my progesterone was a bit low. Going for the test was like test day all over again. I had also been warned that I might need to keep going back ever 2 days. Unbelievable the results were fantastic and there was no need to keep going back ever 2 days - miracle 3.
28 Dec we went for an early 6 week scan. I had been warned that it could be too early to see a foetal pole heart beat and the main objective was to look at the yolk sac. Most clinics would do a scan at 8 weeks. So I have to say we were nervous. The scan was amazing and we actually were able to see a foetal pole heart beat. A few tears of joy were shed - miracle 4.
I know that we have such a long way to go. I really hope I am not tempting fate!! We just hope that this might finally be our time. Every day is a miracle and I count my blessings every day.
I know that there are a lot of ladies posting excellent news, a lot of ladies starting on this journey and a lot of ladies going through really tough times. This forum is a great inspiration and support.
I want to wish everyone all the best for 2017. I hope to keep you updated on any further progress.

Congratulations on the miracles and long may they continue.
Just wondered how many flights over and nights in Spain did you have for the treatment abroad? Trying to assess if going over is practical around working,
We did the initial consult via Skype and then we went through a mock cycle, a pill cycle and the real cycle before flying over. We did one journey. We were scheduled to be out for about 10 days in all but we managed to come back early and get our flights amended. We flew out 28th Nov to be at the clinic 29th Nov, Transfer was 3 Dec and I think we flew back 5th or 6th Dec.
