Successful ivf twice in a row?

Hi ladies we had our first Ivf April 2017, was successful & have an amazing little boy now.

With the same batch of embryos were having a frozen tx next month. Has anyone been this lucky to have it work twice like this?

I'm so thankful every day for my little boy but if we could get a 2nd miracle that would just be amazing xx

Knock on wood it seems to be working for me so far! We did our first and only fresh cycle two years ago in Kyiv, transferred one embryo and he will be one year old next month. We did a FET a couple of weeks ago and now I'm 4 +3 with baby number two! Desperately hoping this one stays put too!

I'm wondering the same thing, first ivf failed none to freeze, second fresh had my little boy and two frosties. Hoping to do fet in November. But just keep thinking can you have 2 healthy babies from one cohort, are we that lucky?

I don’t want to be depressing, but manage your expectations. We have a girl from our first transfer (second cycle, first there was nothing to transfer). Had 7 blastocysts on ice, all perfect ratings. I thought it’d be a slam-dunk to get pregnant again. If not at the first maybe, at least within three transfers. Today became the fifth BFN 😔 I really really hope you’re more lucky than me but also want you to protect yourself in case you end up in this same shitty place you didn’t see coming... here’s to happy healthy pregnancies! 🥂

It didn’t work out for me. I had my daughter with my first round of ivf. A couple of years later I returned to the frozen embryos but no joy. But a couple of cycles later I’m now pregnant (touch wood) with baby number two after my 6th transfer.

However on my very first round of ivf I donated half of my eggs to my sister who made a good number of embryos. She got pregnant in the first round like me and had a son, then just over a year after his birth got pregnant again with a FET from the first round and now has a daughter. Extremely lucky for her and just amazing!

So in conclusion it can definitely happen xx

Ah thanks 😌 x

We are starting our next round very soon after our little girl. We were lucky and had two previous BFP’s but had miscarriage first time so I’m really hoping this works as it’s our last embryo but I’m scared I’ll get my hopes up too much and it fails.

Good luck to you and really hope it works x

You absolutely can have 2 BFPs from the same batch. I had a fresh round back in August 15 and got 4 embies. I got lucky and the first fresh transfer was a success and I had my first little boy in May 16. We decided to try for a second in 2017 and had our first FET in November 17. Unfortunately that one ended up as a chemical pregnancy and then our next round was a BFN. We used our last embryo in May 18 and weren’t overly hopeful. It was a better grade than the 2 failures but it was a day 6 embryo and the clinic had wanted us to transfer it as a double transfer with the previous embryo because they said day 6s dont always thaw as well. On the day of defrosting we got a call to say that it had defrosted but (I can’t remember the terminology) a reasonable % of cells had been destroyed. We’d never been told anything about losing cells with our previous frosties so thought that was it. And the grade after defrosting wasn’t as good as the grade when it was frozen. So all in all I was pretty pessimistic. But we got our BFP and now have a second little boy who is 19 months today and a cheeky little monster. So keep the faith and if the first one doesn’t work then you could find one of the others works down the line. Good luck!
