i am also having infertility problem

hello everyone ,

i am also having infertility problem , as I am a PCOS , DIABETES, THYROID patient and obese as well, i am trying to get conceive by 3 years but there is no positive results , right now my periods continuously running from 4 month , i am on LCHF diet from last 1.5 year but not able to loose weight , what should i do now??

Hi priyankaupadhayay22. I am certain that you are doing everything that you can to lose weight on the LCHF diet you are on. Whatever you are doing, whether it is at a slimming club or on your own, make sure that you are keeping a record of your losses, however small, so that you can prove you are trying. A practice nurse at your GP practice would weigh you and keep a record too, if you don’t want to join a slimming club. Swimming, if possible, is good too. If you can afford to attend one of these fitness centres, then speak to one of the advisors. He/she will be able to help you with your diet requirements and also the correct exercising that you require. Hopefully, if you can get down to an acceptable BMI you may start having regular periods and ovulating naturally again. If, when you get down to an ideal weight you still have problems, then your GP will probably send you to an infertility specialist. If a problem were found with your hormones/ovulation, then it might be possible to prescribe a drug called Clomid for you, I don’t know, as it depends what any investigations you may need reveal. This would usually be done through your clinic/hospital. It is doubtful that your GP would be willing to prescribe the drug for you because of side effects. However, there is a drug called Metformin you might like to speak to your GP about, which can sometimes help with ovulation and weight loss in some cases. However, you may already be on this.
