Blood test today confirms that WE ARE PREGNANT!!! I want to absolutely shout it from the rooftops, I am ecstatic! First round of IVF, which I had not really even let myself entertain the thoughts that it would work. They said for the levels (not sure what levels these are??) to show pregnancy they needed to be 5 or more, and mine were over 200, so they are very pleased. I only had a single embryo transfer but this obviously doesn't rule out multiples - anyone have any insight into this number?
wow....congratulations hopefulmamma...i m so glad to knw ur positive result....mine OTD is on friday...today too i did home test n it showed negative...i think it has not been more days to show positive in urine test..i m waiting fr my blood test on friday..til that time i wil not do any home test...hoping fr the pleasant result...
I can completely understand the anxiety and desire to test. I managed to resist doing any home tests as I knew I just wouldn't trust the results until they were official. So pleased I waited now. All the very best for you - everything crossed and hoping for a positive result xxx
i believe the home test r false bcz it is not enough duration to detect pregnancy symptoms in urine....had u had any mild cramp like period coming type of cramp??if so for which day n how long?
Yes I did, not too bad but little twinges and aches that did feel just like before a period. Most days from about 7 or 8 days before test. Breasts have become very tender and a little enlarged these past three days. What gave me a clue was my emotions actually - I burst into hysterical tears the other night because I couldn't close a drawer on my dresser. But tender breasts, pains, and raw emotions I get as PMS symptoms too, so I tried not to read into them too much.
That's amazing hopefulmamma! So pleased it worked for you.
I must have had the test a couple of days later as they said they were looking for levels of at least 100 and mine was 1800 and we have only one embryo.
Our clinic went over all the stats with us and they only had one patient out of 370 who had one embryo implanted and ended up with twins so I don't think it's very likely although it obviously does happen.
Wow, those are huge levels! Great to know, I've also just done a little research and you're right, it seems well within the normal range for one, so that's good to know.
