Hello ladies, I may post this question in the Endo UK board too, but wondering if anyone has experienced this scenario and could give me some advice.
I'm days away from having our first baby (from an IVF FET due to severe endo) and I'm hoping to avoid my dreaded endo returning as I have been marvellously pain free for nine months. I know that the Mirena coil is often suggested for people with endo, but I'm wondering if this is a good idea if we want to try for another IVF round within the next 18 months?
Many thanks

Hi SparklyT. I think I would wait and see how you are after delivering your little one before deciding to have a Mirena coil fitted. They have been known to cause problems with fertility, but I'm sure a family planning clinic/GP will offer you good advice. Hope all goes well with your delivery, and baby pops out all nice and clean with his/her nappy on!!! Good luck! Diane
Hi. Make sure you're on the cool side of the delivery suite! I used to be a district midwife and have so many happy memories of home births - hospital ones too! Diane
