Hi I can't help but would be interested in any replies as I also had mine last week (Fri). So far no symptoms whatsoever. I was told I should get a period in the next week or so and when it comes I should be prepared for it being heavier than normal. So just patiently waiting.
Hi NG13. Prostap injection works slowly (SR means slow release) - over about 4 weeks and tricks your body into thinking it is in a form of menopause, unfortunately, along with some of the symptoms of hot flushes and headaches etc., although they don’t always happen. Another common side effect is spotting which usually happens a few days from having the injection as it starts “down regulating”. It should stop in a day or two and any other symptoms will pass once stimulation starts. Prostap SR usually takes about a week to “kick in”. Hope all goes well for you. Diane
I started my period the day after the light pink bleed and it's quite heavy, wonder if that's a good sign???
Just got stomach aches through the day,a bit emotional and moody too,but know that was to be expected
Going in for my ultrasound on wed 6th July and hopefully get to collect my Gonal F and Luveris 😁

Hi NG13. Sounds like all is going to plan, so that's a relief! Moody bits and achy pains are par for the course I'm afraid, so out with the paracetamol if needed and try and keep busy. Good luck for Wednesday, and let's hope you get to proceed with the Gonal-F. Thinking of you. Diane
That's good to know I'm on par with what should be happening...
Yeah have a really hectic job with lots of running about so try to keep busy but also not to get too stressed out.
I've had a headache for 2 days now and tried everything to get rid of it 😡
Xxxx

Hi NG13. Oh dear! I think the headache is probably down to the Prostap. It works on the pituitary gland in the brain and tends to give you "frontal" or "temporal" headaches. Obviously paracetamol and a darkened room when you're not "running around". Hope it soon settles. Diane
So all went well at the hospital, that's me on my GONAL F Twice a day and also Luveris too once a day!!
Done my 1st injections with my husband this morning and all went okay.
Have appointment on 15th so check my progress and nurse thinks it will be about 19th I'll get taken in 😁
He is away to make us a cup of tea in bed, don't start work until this afternoon ☺️
Xx

Hi NG13. All sounds good to me and so pleased all is going to plan. If you get sore with injections, then try putting an ice cube on the spot until it melts - helps enormously! Good luck with the appointment on the 15th - just a week to wait. thinking of you. Diane
