Light pink bleed at 6 weeks

Hi All,

I am nearly 6 weeks pregnant and I have had some pink bleeding this morning. Has anyone else experienced this? I am getting really worried!

Yes I have! And it is terrifying because you think the worse! I won’t say not to worry, because I freaked out!

I had pink & brown spotting @ 6.5 weeks for 3 days, brown spotting @8 weeks, and finally fresh blood with tiny clots on Monday @10 weeks 1 day. I phoned the midwife- she asked if I had abdominal pain ( I didn’t) & asked if it was gushing like filling a pad every hour or so-it wasn’t it was only when I wiped. She said only abdominal pain & heavy bleeding would be a concern- but advised me to call my GP to arrange a scan at Early pregnancy unit. I got a scan the next day & happily my baby is fine 😍 all measuring well , good heartbeat & no obvious reason for bleeding.

You can definitely spot & be okay.

Call your GP & get a scan at early pregnancy unit- it will put your mind at rest. I couldn’t rest until the scan showed everything was okay.

Bed rest until the spotting stops thinking of you -you will be okay xoxo

The pink spotting seems to have stopped for the time being. I am going to take your advice and rest up over the weekend. If it starts again then I will contact the doctor on Monday. xx

I had some discharge this week (at 5.5weeks). Spoke with epu who advised not to worry, keep an eye on it and only get in touch if it gets worse (enough to fill a pad in an hour), if it doesn't stop after a few days or if there is pain. They explained that it is likely to be old blood from implantation and that this can arrive any time up to after 6 weeks. Mine cleared up within a day.

Lots of other people have full on bleeding and still go on to have healthy babies.

I hope all is calmed down now. Big hugs it's so scary xx
