I got a BFP over a week ago and have phoned the hospital to let them know, they said they would send out a letter with a date for an early scan.
I haven't heard anything as yet, I don't want to bother the hospital as i know they are busy but the hubby as to go away with work and with having to put work conference off recently with him having to be available for the hospital, as you can understand to see when the date is as we both want to be at the scan.
I am with the NHS in Glasgow and the hospital is the Royal, did anyone else have a long wait for the letter?
Thanks

I didn't have treatment at the Royal. But I would give them a call and just say you are worried that the letter got lost in the post. I am sure they won't mind! They could probably tell you the date for the scan.
Congratulations on your BFP. Wishing you a healthy and wonderful pregnancy.
Hi there, I was at the Glasgow Royal as well and got a BFP. Since I live nearby I went into the hospital the same day to hand in the positive result letter in person as I wanted to know if I was to continue with the pessaries. I was told not to as the body would take over from there, but they made me wait to give me a scan appointment straight away which wasn't until week 8! So although I got the date straight away I still had to wait 4 weeks for the early scan. I don't know if that's a rule or maybe just depends on how busy they are. Good luck and congratulations with your BFP! I'm now 12+2 weeks pregnant and waiting for the NT scan next week.
I'm also at the royal. I'm sure they said to me that if you get a positive test they just send out a letter with an appt for 6-8 weeks time. My official test date is tom but I got a BFP this morning. 😁😁 It kinda feels like they just abandon you when you get to the 2ww. 8 weeks seems like an awful long wait. Maybe if you phone them and explain your circumstances with your hubby they will give you one over the phone.
Thanks gals. Funnily enough the Royal phoned me yesterday afternoon, I think I may have slipped the net. Not to worry all sorted now. Scan is the 4th July. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
