Hi button, long time ago when it happened to me, but I became anaemic quite quickly when I had mine which was the cause of the low blood pressure and palps. I was 8 weeks along tho so not sure if I lost more blood or what. It would explain you feeling wiped out, are you still bleeding? It maybe an idea to start yourself on some iron or see the GP for some. Either way it's a rubbish time for you so sending you a big hug xxxx

Thanks and sorry to hear you have been through this aswell. I stop bleeding last week but just feel drained etc. I think part of it is stress as we have a few big decisions to make as to what to do next now. Thanks for your help xxx

Sounds like low iron. Take a supplement like Floradix if you aren't already to try to get your levels up if you aren't already taking something. Go to your GP to make sure it isn't something else or an infection. I hope you feel better soon X

in reply toEmBlazes

Thanks, I think I will get some sort of iron supplement and see if it improves X

Floradix (?spelling) is very good. Took it after my last m/c. They have it in Boots, health shops and some large supermarkets. Hope you feel better soon xx

Probably best to see you GP. You might need to be signed off for a couple of weeks to recover physically and emotionally. The disappointment of going through a chemical pregnancy is hard so don't underestimate the impact it can have.

Look after yourself.

Thanks and yes if things don't improve I will visit my GP, I think some of it is down to stress xxx

Don't forget you're grieving. It's been 18 weeks since my hubby died and it's only this last week or so that every bone in my body has stopped hurting xx

Aww button, sorry to hear your suffering like this, its can't be nice. I suffered with constant headaches and being drained, but I think was was just down to me feeling just bloody depressed about the whole situation. Best to go and see your doc really just incase its something else. On a personal note you have been so brave and always willing to support others when you need the support too. I know how hard that feels. Big hugs to you xxx

I think some of it is stress and depression that I just keep ignoring. I feel really stressed about what to do next and even though I want to break I like to have a plan. We have to start self funding now so feel like pressure is on to make smart choices, that with starting all over again at a new clinic just fills me with dread. Thanks for your lovely comment, I love supporting others likewise you and others support me think I would have gone insane long ago if it wasn't for this site. X

It is so normal to be feeling depressed and with the added pressure of having to self fund that will probably be causing your palpitations as you'll be worrying constantly. I was diagnosed with PTS after my third, they were dark days, but somehow I got through. If I was you, i'd forget about it the funding/where to go nect etc, and just go and relax and enjoy your hol. Recharge, have some time to grieve, but also quality time as a couple without any baby talk and then come home refreshed and slowly go from there. At the mo your brain is having too much info to process when all it wants to do along with your body is grieve, so let it. Huge huge hugs xx

Hi Button,

I too had a chemical pregnancy last week and have been feeling extremely tired and emotional, but no headaches or palpitations. I had put it down to going back to work, but last night I woke up having night sweats, feeling incredibly sick and dizzy. I managed to get back to sleep after a while and awoke feeling OK this morning but have had a couple more 'episodes' during the day. They only seem to last around 20 mins though. I am putting them down to lack of iron due to the loss of blood and my body generally adapting to getting back to not being pumped full of drugs/hormones for the first time in ages. I will go to my GP though if they don't improve in a few days.

Hope you feel better soon. Lots of love and hugs. Xx

Sorry to hear you have been through this aswell, it feels like a cruel joke you finally get your BFP then it's taken away😢😢

I am going to get an iron supplement, have a lazy weekend and hope things start to improve. Like you said it's Probs everything settling down again.

Take care and massive thanks xxx

I had a chemical pregnancy after our first round and I think a lot of the symptoms you describe are down to the comedown from all the hormones mixed with sadness that you almost got there but fell at the last hurdle. But there are positives to be gained from it - you can get pregnant - it just wasn't the right one. Take some time out to recover and pamper yourself - you'll feel normal again soon enough xx

Oh no button so sorry to hear you're feeling like this, as if you haven't been through enough 😔 You may be low on iron due to blood loss but you've also been through so much, your body and your mind, that everything is probably trying to deal with what has happened and is reeling.

Stress, and our emotional state can have such a profound effect on our physical health. If you can you should make yourself and your healing the priority, look after yourself and try not to panic too much right now about next steps, it's all so raw. I know that's easier said than done, especially if, like me you're worried about time running out etc, and I don't always follow my own advice but you really need some tlc right now.

I had a very faint bfn earlier this month which I haven't posted anything about, it would have been natural which has never happened for us, but then my period came and subsequent tests were negative 😢 I shouldn't have tested early as they say you'd never have known, however I know you'd gone further than that so I'm so sorry for you.

Are you having any counselling at your clinic? I hope you have people you can talk to, like others I'm here if you need to offload.. lots of love and I hope it all eases asap xxx

That meant to say bfp 😔

in reply toGeorgina78

Thanks Hun, not had any counselling but might book a session.

I have found my lavender spray, going to get back to Pilates and we go on hol in 3 weeks to a forest lodge with a hot tub and in cabin massages so that will Probs help X

I've not had a chemical pregnancy but have had a long period of illness since our last bfn. Mine has been headaches with visual problems. Have now been to gp and put on medication which means I have to have an unplanned break from ivf. Was so frustrated initially as we wanted to go straight on to our fet. However, I now feel glad of the break. Still not got to the bottom of the cause (even had an mri!) But I wonder if it is a hangover of all the drugs from 2 fairly close together rounds. Think we put our bodies through a lot with ivf xxx

in reply toanna0908

Aw sorry to hear this. If I still feel unwell after my hol I will defo visit my GP X

HI Button, Glad you are off on holiday - sounds just what you need. Take care of yourself - plenty of healthy food and some indulgences too, but do give yourself a bit of time too. It's such a tough journey and you need to have a good break before getting back to it all. Have a good rest!
