I was delighted, just like Button to find I got a positive hpt and then positive hcg 10p 2x 5dt of 289. So clinic out here in Hong Kong didn't request retest of hcg.
Last year I got pregnant but at the scan it revealed a blighted ovum (miscarriage) and I had the erpc op in the end.
Now I'm finding I dread everyday and very concerned in case the same thing happens again. As a result I'm worried about jumping or any sudden movements or doing much exercise at all as clinic in hk recommended gentle walking only.
Can anyone tell me if my numbers are good and also if lower abdominal twinges are normal? I had some slight pulling pains when I move in a certain way....
Would be any use to pay for an hcg test too check blood are rising or could that still mean blighted ovum?

The only thing I can say about this journey and pregnancy is that if it is meant to be then it will, nothing we do will stop any process. Woman everyday do the craziest things when pregnant and still go on to have a healthy baby.
I am so tired of fretting and anxiety that I have to hope that God has me in his hands and it is truly my time to have this baby x
I totally know how you are feeling! and I don't think the worry will ease until you have your first scan. The same happened to me, at 7+ weeks the scan showed just the sack, If I wasn't lying down I would have fainted, it was just so unexpected and devastating!.
Fast forward a year and a half and I am happy to say that this pregnancy has went well and I am due in 2 weeks . So because it happened before really doesn't mean it will happen again. Try and just take each day as it comes, I know it's difficult.
I think the twinges that you are feeling are normal, your body is changing due to pregnancy and your uterus is stretching. With regards to the hcg test the number is good!. You could test again to see if the hcg rises, but i personally didn't bother and just waited for my first scan.
Thanks for your replies! Jhza congratulations and the empathy- it made me feel so much better just to know that it's normal to feel this way and also gives me hope!
Tamtam, I totally get what you are saying and chances are last time that it was just chromosomal but it also coincided with a family crisis - quite traumatic- and I have started to wonder if that was a factor in the miscarriage.
It is natural to feel a nervous about a pregnancy when you have had a journey and a half to get to this stage. We were the same and many of my clients are the same. I have created a pregnancy hypnosis track to help women relax in to their pregnancy and use hypnosis and visualisation to help guide their body to do what you want it to do. I am happy to gift you (and anyone else) a copy by downloading it using this link here:
I had a blighted ovum 4 years ago and was told it was just unlucky, it didn't mean anything was wrong with future eggs or sperm. You still always worry of course! Hcg should double about every 48 hrs in a healthy pregnancy, mine wasn't doing this with my blighted ovum or earlier ectopic so if you want to test this might help reassure you but like Tamtam says what will be will be and although it's hard try and relax! Pains and cramps are very normal throughout pregnancy as things stretch and grow but especially early on, they definitely don't help with the relaxing and staying calm bit though! Congratulations with your pregnancy 😀
I've had an anembryonic pg too. No idea what caused it, had the op went on to conceive twins. Only lost them due to my luteal problems. I was told that anembryonic is uncommon and doesn't usually occur again. Good luck with pg xx
I've had 2 mcs from natural conceptions and 3 failed rounds of ICSI. If we'd managed to get a BFP I would probably be feeling very anxious. Being told that your much longed for pregnancy is not viable is such terrible and it is likely to effect your thoughts and feelings about this pregnancy. There isn't anything you can do to except wait until your 6 week scan. Hopefully this time it will all be ok. My clinic said gentle exercise would be fine, stick with your usual exercuse just don't go nuts or start new exercise.
