Fertility acupuncture

Hi, I am due to start IVF (ICIS), appointment in 2 weeks. I want to try acupuncture, anybody know how to go about finding one who deals with fertility? I am in bolton, Manchester area if anyone has used someone in that area?

Or if you have tried anything else, I want to do everything in my power to help! Already healthy eating, supplements and off the booze for a few months now for us both!

I had a look on Google and found one in my area that dealt with acupuncture & read their website. I actually had a choice of 3 nearby so just chose the one most convenient!! Good luck!! X

Try google and you could also ask your clinic if they have used any Accupuncturists so you would know they have experience of assisted reproduction. Location is important though as you need to be able to easily access them and on days of transfer I had treatment immediately before and after transfer, so needed them to be accessible.

Hi as far as I know acupuncture can really help to boost fertility especially if you're undergoing IVF treatment. We all know that stress can really affect fertility and so acupuncture can help reduce stress. It is also said that it can help on male infertility to help increase sperm count. But still you may need to talk to your doctor about this and do more research. Good luck!

Hi there! I'm a week into my first set of injections for icsi and went for acupuncture on Friday, it was strange but thought I'm willing to give anything a try!

I would try the British Acupuncture Council's website, they have a list of any registered acupuncturists in your area.

I highly recommend it. I started it 2 months before and then during my treatment. I'm now 17 weeks pregnant.

I also had an endo scratch aswell so think that defo helped. Didn't have either on my first failed cycle.
