Hello!

I had EC 14 days after my first injection but it everyone is different and it really just depends how you react to the medication. I started on a Friday, had a follow up scan the following Friday and another on the Monday. From memory I then took my trigger shot on the Tuesday night and had EC on the Thursday morning.

I ate lots of protein, Brazil nuts and pineapple and tried to drink more water. I also cut out alcohol and caffeine. It's really easy to over think everything and I know a lot of people cut out sugar but I think chocolate was essential to getting me through the 2ww!

Good luck x

When you say injections do you mean the initial down regging eg buserelin? If so I was longer than that- I started 5 Jan and had egg collection 8 Feb! Part of that was a week delay because my lining had not got thin enough before starting the menopur. I just tried to eat as healthily as possible - eg I enjoyed lots of soups, salmon and egg salads (but ditched the tuna which I used to eat so often but am told is full of mercury!), chicken kale pasta etc (from a website called 'thepioneerwoman' if you want the recipe). I don't know if it's all been successful yet as just started 2ww but wanted to share in case useful. Good luck xx

Thank you no I started menopur today so I'm assuming 12 to 14 days until egg collection ? I'm trying to eat healthily but I do hiit training which is high intensity so thinking I should just stick to some walking. Good luck hun ... I'm excited zx Fingers crossed for us !

Thanks! Ah, in that case it was about 12 days for me as I started those 28 Jan - must've caught up lol! Yes I eased back to walking during this time (apart from one time I was nearly late for an appointment and ended up sprinting to it- a red faced mess when I got there!) It is exciting, yes fingers crossed!! Xx

I had 10 days of injections and then the trigger shot on day 11. Sounds like you're eating lots of sensible healthy type things. I did all mine in summer so didn't have to worry about the weather but I have been told when it's so cold outside to make sure you are eating healthy soups and stews too and avoid too much cold stuff to make your uterus a warm hospitable place and somewhere an embryo would want to stay (this was from a book on PCOS which was Chinese medicine orientated). The other thing is to make sure you're getting plenty of protein to help the follicles grow. And lots of women on here have a slice of fresh pineapple every day after ET as apparently that's supposed to help implantation. Good luck with it all!
