Morning all, my husband was diagnosed with Azoospermia back in September of last year. He had all of his tests done in December to determine the cause of his diagnosis. We are 90% sure he has a varicocele which can have an affect on sperm count.
We have our follow up appointment with the urologist on Friday and I am starting to feel a little bit lost again. I don't know how we will cope if he tells us that there is nothing that can be done and that we won't be able to have a child that is biologically ours. I'm trying my best to stay positive but as the appointment gets closer it gets harder.

Hi Sammy-h. Just wanted to wish you well with the consultation with the urologist. If it is definitely a varicocele he has, then they may offer to do an embolisation of the varicocele, which would block it off and cause it to eventually disappear. If for any reason this couldn't be done, then I feel certain that they would do a biopsy or extraction from his testicles to look for viable sperm which would then be used possibly in an ICSI procedure, so all is not lost yet re fathering his own genetic child. Lots to be done here, so good luck with it all. Diane
Hi Sammy, just wondered if you had an update on your situation as we're in the same boat at the moment and wondering what the future holds for us! Thanks
