Forgot about the pessaries! 😣

Forgot how the progesterone pessaries are so disgusting, I won't get graphic, but ladies, you know what I mean right?

Grim and still intermittent pain after egg collection 😞

This post made me laugh ....only the pessary bit....they're horrific....as if things aren't delightful enough we have that as the finale! Hope you're feeling better I remember it taking a few days to feel OK after egg collection, plenty of rest and good luck xx

Think I'm better than last time, overall, initial recovery was a million times better! But had several really painful sharp pains. I guess it's inevitable isn't it. Jus hope my body calms more today as hoping (please god) to have my one little embryo be transfered tomorrow! Xxx

I was just fascinated by their bullet shape when I was using them! Didn't find them too messy if you put them in half an hour before getting up in morning and last thing at night but there were definitely some side effects. I was certainly glad to be rid of them but they do an important job so a necessary evil. Hope all goes well. x

The miscarriage association have concluded a large research paper showing progesterone statistically doesn't improve chances of carrying, but worth a shot right. Would be too scared to not to! Xx

Interesting, I must take a look for that paper. You're right - better to take them than not! I got really bloated on them though and they kind of give similar symptoms to your period coming so it can be a very confusing time.

Yep, I got very hormonal on them last time, can feel the changes already.

I found them messy 'up front' but fine 'up back'!

Omg I know 😞

I wasn't in them on my last cycle had gestone instead and am still bruised but remember them from last time before last time ( 2nd round ) YUK.

Got to be in them for my DE cycle we are starting soon. Just started the pill so now I know things are moving and waiting for a match.

Good luck sweetie 😘

Couldn't agree more! X

Haha had to laugh at this post! The pessaries are gross! The things we have to do I'm only on day 3 and things are very messy πŸ˜†

Up back is better less mess and the anus is very rich in blood vessels and one of the quickest ways to get the agent in the blood system.

I ve been doing it for 5 days, my ET was yesterday, and my husband finds it funny, every night he comes with a joke about it πŸ™€

After my last pregnancy and subsequent hysteroscopy it was noted my cervix is a little tight, you'd think that's a good thing but apparently not in the getting pregnant game, so read some research to suggest that vaginally in that case can be a little more beneficial, ah who knows really! Calming hope for your 2ww hun xx

I had forgotten all about those pessaries too! It must be like having a severe trauma where your memory blocks it πŸ˜±πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ They were just gross!

Hopefully all worth it though! Good luck. I hope you get your BFP x

Thank you, we as everyone else, hope it works too. I'm clinging onto the fact the one egg is better quality than last time, but it is slower growing. All so hard xx

We had one slow grower but it did catch up with the others in the end and it was frozen by the clinic. Hopefully your little one will be the same x

Oh thank you for letting me know that! So wonderful to hear positive experiences! I really hope so as was the only egg collected this time which has really shaken me. Because it's the only one they're going to do the day 3 transfer providing it continues to grow over tonight xxx

One thing I will say though, is that the pessary applicators this time round are actually useful compared to the ridiculously useless things I had first time which either got the pessary jammed in it or fell off the bloody thing πŸ˜‚. It's not quite so "messy" as last time even if it's unpleasant and feels a bit eugh every morning in particular.

Glad we've all had at least a little laugh this morning ladies xxxx

Hmm....I wasn't even given applicators with mine!!!πŸ€” I guess it's like comparing lilets to tampax πŸ™‚

Parentsofangels profile image
Parentsofangelsβ€’ in reply toTlove

Lol well yes that's very true, and after a while I didn't bother with the applicators last the because they were so useless lol. Even the nurses told me afterwards how most people said they were rubbish lol.
