Hello. I really struggled with headaches when taking my egg stim drugs. Drink plenty of water. Keep hydrated, and also take nurofen because you can at the moment. that helped me along with relaxing baths (not mega hot though as that could make them worse). Hope this helps. X sorry one more thing. I told my clinic if they got really bad just so they knew. X

Lots and lots of water! I had this with buserelin and didn't want to rely on painkillers too much so drank like 3L a day if possible. The headaches got better after a couple of days. They seem to be caused by dehydration.

Thanks for advice. I will also target 3L per day xx

I am on day 4 of Merional which I think is the same as menopur?? I've found drinking more fluid helps a lot. I can feel some discomfort already in the ovary department! Have felt down & tearful today anyone else experienced this? Trying to work out if it's just me or the hormones!!

Yes both are similar drugs. Even I am feeling little bit discomfort in ovary department (specially right ovary). I think it indicates Menopur is working and ovaries are growing. Take care Hun xx

I've been tearful and emotion, really kicked in day 5 of injections, and hasn't stopped!

Phew I thought it must be hormone related but you never know when you are under a lot of stress already. When I cried at hearing the news of David Bowie I thought this has got to be the hormones! Hope I can hold it together at work tomorrow!

I'm worried my ovaries might expand too much, but at the same time am relieved to feel it working. I have a check up scan on Thursday.

Best wishes to you all, look after yourselves xx

Good morning, a quick one before I head to the clinic, first injection of Merional left me with severe bloating, I was in tears, took IBS pills and felt better. After the first one I was OK ( except for the OHSS that they spotted yesterday on the blood test, which means I m doing the journey on daily basis for blood tests and baseline scans while I struggle with the pain and feeling sick, and husband away for the week, not fun)

My best wishes are with you Hun. So when is your egg collection planned ? X

Back to work today a 12 hour shift & boy did I know it. Belly more bloated, feels tight when I bend down or stand up too long, really uncomfortable all day. Hoping that means I'm responding well.

InTheMiddleOfIt what a nightmare for you, at least they've caught it early. Hope you feel better soon.

Baby hope were you asking me when egg collection will be? They've said the 18th I think I might explode by then lol!

Take care all of you xx

I am feeling bloated too maybe because I am drinking wAter like a fish lol. But same time a bit worried cause I am not getting any twinges in there(ovaries) today, many questions in mind am I responding well for these drugs? Will they have to change my drugs doses? Oh boy ! How am I going to survive till end of this cycle.

Will come to know what's happening in my first scan on 15th.xx

I'm not getting many twinges, more aches but I'm guessing feeling anything different down there is a good sign. Fingers crossed we'll be fine keep me posted X

Yes headaches, bloating and constipation. Not a great combo, drinking lots of water helps, I'm also doing yoga, meditation and acupuncture which have helped minimise the side effects and stress/anxiety.

You've not got long to go now, hang on in there and good luck xx

Dear BabyHope! Suppose ladies on fertility drugs usually face some of these symptoms. While our first attempt I was "dying" from those constant pains in my stomach. I considered it to be unbearable so asked for explanation. My assisting doc took no notice of this being a great problem for me. He just said it was the specific reaction of my organism for the medical. I still don't know whether it was it. But all the following cycles flew much easier..

So, from the possible side affects infertility treatment can be found rather tough going. But it puts you at ease for some time when you know the reason of those pains at least. Otherwise such treatments are physically and emotionally draining.

Thankfully, there was a thing I tried to offset the side-effect. And for those suffering from stomach pains after taking the medicine I'm sure it's a good variant. I'm for taking your pills with food can help to prevent stomach upsets. It helped me much...

As for the headache there was sometimes but not too often just to get on me...
