After over 2 years of trying for a baby, I had tests done which found a fibroid in the lining of my womb.
I had a hysteroscopy and laparoscopy done. They removed the fibroid and I also found out one of my tubes is blocked. My next appointment isn't till a few months. What is the gynaecologist likely to say to me? Will they refer me to IVF or is it likely to be a very long process
Its such a long wait till my next appointment and I am getting stressed . . .any advice would be appreciated !!

Hi ditsy999. Well, you’ve had your investigations done and been treated as necessary, so after a couple of months rest and getting your menstrual cycle back on track again, you should hopefully be “good to go”! It is likely that IVF will be recommended for you, but just check that your blocked tube is OK to go ahead with, as sometimes excess fluid leaking from the tube back into the womb, can sometimes inhibit embryo transplantation. I do have a list of questions you might like to go through before your next consultation, just in case you see something you didn’t think to ask. It is too long to add here, but if you email me at dianearnold@infertilitynetworkuk.com I will send them to you. My emails are confidential. Good luck with it all! Diane
