Hi ladies I have attended the royal fertility clinic in Belfast and I'm now officially on the waiting list. Does anyone know roughly how long it is and what to expect on my first visit??

Hi lovely, what are you on the waiting list for? Is this your referral for your tests etc, or to start IVF treatment? Xx
It's to start treatment I'm only on the list 3 weeks and I know they tell you it could be 9 months before they start but I've heard of a few people who have been told the same but got seen a lot quicker
Ah I see. I was told in June this year I needed to loose around 2st before I'd be able to proceed. They said they would expect us to have treatment before the end of the year. They also said they would contact me, so I gave the fertility clinic a call last week she said they are waiting for me to contact them with regards to my weight. She said were now top of the list so they are ready when I am. So I've only been waiting around 3 months. Do you need to do anything before being able to proceed with treatment? If you havnt heard anything around Xmas I'd give them a call, I'd say your looking at booking a holiday and worried about missing any up comingappointments and if they can adviae if anythin has been booked for you. The wait iis frustrating, but keep busy it soon flys by xx
Omg that was quick.. what clinic are you with? Would love to go away for a while but unfortunately that's not a possibility I was thinking if I didn't hear anyou thing by November that I would ring.. sounds a bit pushy but I don't want to leave it too long xx
Hi
We do have a Regional Organiser in Northern Ireland it might be good to get in touch with her as she may be able to give you additional information.
Her contact details are:

I went on the list at the end of March '14 and got a call in sept/oct '14. I think it may depend on your age etc where you are prioritised on the list.
But if you are stressing just phone the RFC and ask how many weeks the list is. They are very nice and helpful and I find the clinic very professional and efficient in comparison to other parts of the Belfast trust.
Hi, I joined the RFC waiting list last year and it was 8 months when we got called for our first appointment. I know it probably seems like an eternity at the minute but believe me it won't be long coming round. All the staff are lovely in the Royal and will put you completely at ease x
