Hello it's the first time I have posted on here, I'm hoping you lovely ladies will help me on our next journey on the road to fertility. Our story so far after trying to conceive for 2 years was given 12 months on clomid with no success, we started Iui nearly year later to our delight our first round was successful but ended up with ectopic pregnancy and loss of Fallopian tube which devasted me!! Now 4 months on we started first cycle of Ivf! Emotions all over place.. Injections aren't helping! Was wondering if anyone has similar stories to share, or positive thoughts are gratefully received.

First round of Ivf
Hello Helenlou,
I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage, it sounds like you've had quite an ordeal! My husband and I have been ttc for just over 2 years. We're currently going through our first round of IVF and I'm on the 2ww just now. My advice is to take it one day at a time. If your mind starts to worry about "ifs, buts and maybes" try and bring yourself back to the present and focus on what you have to do that day.
Otherwise, just try to keep yourself busy. I've been going for acupuncture and watching lots of box sets which are keeping my mind off things! x
Hello hopeful1982
Yes I have acupuncture too it helps me to relax, I do feel quite positive with this cycle and now from having ivf the chances of another ectopic are still there but less, I do need to try and keep busy and to stop my mind playing tricks with myself. can I ask are you working within your two weeks wait? I'm in two minds whether to or stay home and relax. It's hard to know what to do for the best, as the test is done so early with fertility treatment. Xx
Hi Helenlou
I have worked during treatment to try and keep myself busy and my mind occupied. To be honest I've found it's been fine but it's important you do whatever makes you most comfortable. Treatment has coincided with a quiet spell in the office which has helped. If I thought work was going to be stressful I would have taken the time off. I've made up for the fact I've worked though the treatment in the evenings by getting home early and lounging on the sofa watching box sets.
Good luck! x
