Hi Ladies, did anyone use heatpads to warm their ovaries during the stimulation phase? Xx

Heat on ovaries during stimulation phase
I just have a hot water bottle after my evening injections for a little while (not directly on the skin), but no heat is allowed after transfer x
Hi DSan, when I had acupuncture she put a heat lamp over my tummy. She stopped doing this as soon as I took my trigger shot and told me not to use any heat (hot water bottles or have hot baths)after that point. I really trust my acupuncturist (she was a nurse and health visitor previously so has a medical background and is very knowledgable about IVF) so if she thinks heat is good during stims I do too! x
Thanks Hopeful, I start the stimming drugs tonight. My acupuncturist asked me to use Moxa over my ovaries to give heat as I won't be seeing her until next Wednesday now. I wasn't sure as I never did this for my previous two cycles.
Great to have this forum and so many lovely ladies who are willing to share advice.
I will start the Moxa today.
Hi Ladies!! may be I am not understanding this properly. For clearing thoughts I would say I am on Buserelin Nasal spray since 7th July, is that my stim period? I would like if anybody tell me,
Secondly, Yes I was feeling as if since I started spray I am prone to cold more than I have been earlier, so feeling that I kept my home warmer even in summer, but as long as I could feel comfortable warming. And I have been using warm socks as well. This all I did out of my own observation of change in, how my body reacted to temperatures. I did not know about warming ovaries sides, if that is for this stage please do tell me as well. This is my second FET process on the go.
Hi, buserelin is for down regulating your hormones. The stimming drugs will help your ovaries to produce follicles and hopefully eggs. As I understand, during this phase it's helpful to keep your abdomen warm to help with blood flow to the ovaries. Also drinking plenty of water will help to keep your blood flowing nicely as this will stop your blood getting too thick.
It's a good idea to keep your abdomen warm, I think some ladies also use hot water bottle but not hundred per cent sure about this. Also best not to eat anything cold during stimming phase too. But no heat after transfer !!
And I just touched my abdomen, its cold like cold meat really! I simply kept my environment warm and that's all I did so far, without noticing anything else.. what's suggestion for my situation now?
Thanks DSan for explaining this all. when you say no heat after transfer, and I read of no hot bath. I never take shower if its not warmer..should I understand that no bath after transfer then??? if yes, then for how long?
HelloHopefor ICSI, I had my embryo transfer last week. I've stopped having hot baths and have been making sure my shower is not too warm. It's fine to have hot baths etc whilst taking the nasal spray and also during your injections but I was advised to stop once I took the trigger shot (which you gy 36 hours before egg collection). Hope this puts your mind at ease x
yes now I got it, so far. Thanks all here supporting each other.xx Good luck with your embie dear Hopefull1982.xx
