8 days to go!

Grrrr! These days are dragging! Clinic said I can test on 11 day as had a 5 day FET - but I'm sure someone on here told me I could do it in 9 days 5+9=14! Anyone else testing around the same time as me? X

Hi samrakkar. Oh this waiting game is such a nightmare for you girls! You could test 9 days post transfer, but I would go with whatever the clinic/hospital have recommended you do. Try and keep busy if you can, and I’m sure the girls on here will be supporting you all the way. Keeping everything crossed for you. Diane

I take it 9 day may not be accurate? After a five day transfer when should implantation occur?

Hi samrakkar. A developing embryo usually takes 5-6 days to implant – occasionally a little longer, so a Day 5 transfer most likely will start to implant on the day of transfer or Day 6. I still think that I would go with what the clinic has recommended re testing day, just in case your embryo(s) are slightly slower at implanting. Obviously embryos differ, they can get cracking at implanting straight away on Day 5 but can take up to another couple of days. If you do decide to test earlier and it should be negative, don’t stop using the progesterone pessaries/gel if prescribed, until told to by the clinic. Good luck with whatever you decide! Diane

I agree with DianeArnold. If you test early it might not be accurate. What if it's negative then you will be sad then found out you are actually pregnant or what if your possitive and it's actually negative. According to 1 of the doctors in my clinic the accurate way of testing is 16 days after transfer 😱
