Post Embryo Transfer - TIPS?

Hi... just wondered if anybody had any tips for me while I'm on my 2ww? This is my first cycle of IVF so I'm new to all of this and would be so grateful for your replies. Also did any of you have acupuncture at this stage or do any exercise? 😊 x x

Dont do anything too strenuous or new on the 2 ww! If you do low impact activities already, that should be fine to continue. My clinic said only low impact and nothing new as you don't know how your body will respond. Eat healthy and don't forget your vitamins.

Distractions are good, but stay off Google!!! Google will make you crazy. Be good to yourself!

Hi noodles I finished off my pregnacare TTC packet I had left over as folic acid is the main thing you need you could just get some prescribed or buy just folic acid on it's own I am now currently on sanatogen mum to be as it doesn't have vitamin K in which I'm personally avoiding it's in slot of other multi vitamins. I had my egg transfer on a Thursday I had a lazy day that day after a walk with my partner and we had a walk daily just to get out of the house I was at a party the Saturday night no drinking but danced pretty much all night I was in work the Monday I was careful not to do anything strenuous treated myself as pregnant. As for eating I really stuck to this I eat pineapple 3 days before my egg transfer and 2 days after and then I've avoided it ever since at 1st it can help your womb to have a sticky mucus (sorry) but it can also cause uterine contractions that's why I have had no more since 2dpt I also eat every morning 3 Brazil nuts 3 walnuts as they are meant to aid implantation along with 2 pints of milk in the morning read it's good for a healthy womb lining & along with those specifics I've eaten healthy meals odd cheat day and few bits of chocolate ;) no idea if any of it helped towards my BFP but I'm still eating my nuts and drinking my milk and eating healthy and I'm feeling very positive for this one ! Hugs and good luck in your 2ww ! Xx

Thanks for the advice herrys I really appreciate it ☺ Funnily enough I bought Sanatogen Mum to Be vitamins from Boots earlier then read your reply tonight and realised it's the same ones you told me about. Lol. I'm going back to work tomorrow so that will keep my mind occupied although to be honest I haven't been bad at all, I've been taking it easy and feeling really positive. Today was the first day I ventured out to the shops. Actually felt okay just couldn't walk fast or take big steps lol. Wishing you all the best with your pregnancy 💚 x x

Hi, I would just say to try to relax but the low impact stuff is also fine. The main thing as above is to stay away from googling or you will drive yourself insane. Just try and stay as relaxed and positive as possible and good luck :-) I just took pregnacare and ate healthily, and as above treated my body as if pregnant, but just the usual obvious stuff. I tried not to get too hung up on it (easier said than done!) xxx

Hi noodles, I think I was the opposite of everyone. I was googling everything - I was obsessed with what was going on in my body!! I also stayed off work for two weeks to totally relax & have no stress as my job can be a bit stressful at times. Two things I really stuck to which I read was helpful was to have warm feet at all times & drink room temperature water. Whether this is true or not who knows - but I went for my 12 week scan today & all is perfect 👶

All the best to you - you are so right what will be will be. Take care!! Xx

Aw that sounds fab... I'd love to stay off work for the 2 weeks but i don't have anybody to cover my job and plus I think it'll be a good distraction cos I don't want to get bored and eat all day lol. I have hot feet right now (slipper boots are on lol... yes i know spring has sprung but it's still chilly pmsl) and the strangest thing is up until 2 days ago I drank room temperature water all the time, loads of it but now I've taken to summer fruit flavour diluting juice with cold bottled water from the fridge. That's fab news about your 12 week scan. Congratulations! 😊Was this your first ivf cycle? x x
