Stressed already!

Hi everyone

Just wanted a bit of advice. Due to start my first ivf cycle but my period has decided not to come! I have taken the pill given for six days and was told when I stopped it would take 2-5 days for my period to come. I'm now on day 6 and no sign. I feel so fed up as haven't missed a period in my life and if I hadn't taken the pills I would have come on my natural cycle now anyway! It's so hard having a fridge full of drugs after waiting 2 years and not being able to use them. Just wondered if anyone else took ages for their period after taking the tablets?

Hey hun sorry it's a bit stressful for you at the mo waiting for your cycle but this is probably the reason why it is delayed......you are stressed and anxious for it to start which in retrospect is delaying it.

I know it's hard to relax as you want to crack on with the IVF cycle but try doing things that will distract you a little so you're are not focusing all your energies on your monthly cycle.

Go for a walk, read a book, cinema with friends, coffee....anything hun that will take your mind away from it even if only for a short time. My monthly cycle was a week late before I started my IVF cycle so I do understand how frustrating it is!

It will happen soon though hun and you will be well on your way. Wishing you lots of luck! Xxx

Thank you but unfortunately it doesn't look like it is stress! My system has totally messed up and it's unlikely I will get my period now. I have a scan on Monday so hopefully that will hold some answers.
