I am very new to this forum so thought I would introduce myself...
I am 30 years old ..and after trying for 2 years to have a baby me and my partner decided to visit hospital to check things were ok. When I was a child I had a lot of operations on my bowels and wore a colostomy bag until I was 2 years old which has left my tummy with very bad scar tissue!
I was told yesterday that because the scar tissue has caused thickening of my tubes I will be unable to conceive naturally and would need ivf treatment. My partner only has 7 and a half million sperm when the average male has 20 million so he would also always need ivf...I am devastated about this news , but reading this forum has helped me so thank you for your posts. I don't know if we will choose to try ivf but I will continue to use forum I have to go back soon to have my tubes pinned so that the thickening doesn't release harmful things to any embryo in the womb waiting for that appointment now really upset about things and where we go from here good luck to you all in your journeys xxx
