My 2nd IVF miracle was born 1st April 2021, 12.21pm @ 36 weeks 1day, weighing 8lbs 3/4 oz.
His name is Donny.
He is our very special rainbow baby and we feel relieved at last that we have finally succeeded in our battle to provide a sibling for our 5 year old son Harry.
Am 45 years old and although my very first IVF worked, this time was a hell of a journey as you will see from my bio.
This forum has been a huge support to me over the years and at times has been my absolute lifeline!!!
I just want to say 'don't give up' to anyone who is still trying. Trust me at times I very nearly did but I would dust myself off, recover & start again... This was our very last attempt using my own eggs I knew I couldn't face anymore & my days were numbered using my own eggs. We only got 2 eggs this time and only 1 ended up being suitable for a 3 day fresh transfer Luckily it was a top grade embryo and it stuck and he is 5 weeks old today. 🌈
Am sharing this pic with you as I know you guys will appreciate the vest!!!
Sending hope, love & baby dust to all you brave IVF warriors and remember.... a ‘given up battle is never won’ 😘

Thank you so much for the wishes. I had a positive test on Tuesday pm. 12dpo. A definite line, this morning 14dpo.. stark white. I just don’t understand.
Your post has given me so much hope x
Amazing news I am so thrilled that you got your happy ending! Congratulations he is gorgeous xx
Thanks so much Daisy. Miracles do happen... even after a very long time.
Am so saddened to read your latest post that’s such a shame after your hopes were built up. Have you spoken with your sister regarding being your Egg donor ? It sounds like you guys are close... maybe this is not a solution for you but reading your latest post this is what sprung to my mind x
Thanks so much. am so lucky and privileged to have such a happy ending. The pregnancy & birth were not straightforward but I didn’t care he is in my arms now that’s the main thing x
Oh, I am just so pleased for you!!! Our second never came to be but I will always be grateful that I got my one miracle from the journey. Power, solidarity and love to all of you (especially you over 40's). Enjoy every second of your new addition (though be kind to yourself when you can't too) - he is delicious 🥰
I was wondering about you for some time. So pleased to see this wonderful news. Many congratulations to you. I’m 43 but my periods have suddenly stopped since September 2020 and I feel I will never have a child now but so pleased to hear about your beautiful baby. This will give “hope” to many more.
Thanks, I was in /out hospital during the last month of my pregnancy due to heavy bleeding. Then the c-section was brought forward. Spent 12 days in hosp due to various reasons.... but it’s all worth it in the end !!!
I do wish you luck and if you speak to your Clinic regarding your periods stopping they may have a solution? If it is your dream to have a child please don’t give up....😘 x
It definitely has been worth it in the end for you, despite all the difficulties you’ve endured. Thank you for sharing your story and for your kind and inspiring words x
Thank you, I wanted a special one to send the embryologists at my Clinic as I often feel they get overlooked and they are VIP’s in this whole process !!
Thank you & congrats on your good news also 😘. I see from your latest post you are already thinking ahead!! I was in your shoes a few years ago and was told by my clinic to leave at least a year between the first and to completely stop breastfeeding !
I waited a year before attempting a frozen transfer but I never stopped breastfeeding as I researched it & am convinced made no difference even though mine failed I put it down to a low grade embryo on that ocassion x
Thank you. My doc said we can try naturally after 6 months and told me loads of stories of people getting pregnant after ivf. The typical 'relax and it will happen' stories. So we will see. Just need to get a move on before my eggs run out! Xx
Massive congratulations! He’s beautiful, Love the baby grow! X
Am glad I have given you hope, reading your latest post it would appear you haven’t had the best of luck...yet!
I notice you had a long protocol ... my successful ones were on an ‘ultra short/flare protocol ‘ - my clinic felt best for my age. May be worth enquiring about ? Hope this helps x
Huge congratulations to you all! So happy to see a positive ending to what can be a torturous journey for many! I’m just about to start a 3rd frozen cycle to try and have a sibling for our soon to be 4 year old (who like your story was a first time miracle fresh IVF cycle baby). It’s been a bumpy ride and I’ve been struggling with thinking it’s never going to happen and whether I should keep trying as we are already so lucky to have our girl but seeing your update has given me fresh hope! Thank you and enjoy your new baby boy x
Wishing you so much luck with your upcoming frozen cycle. Think positive thoughts only. Believe it will happen. This time I begged and pleaded with the universe. Used lucky crystals etc stuff I would never have bothered with before. Dunno if made a difference but can’t do any harm x
Huge congratulations!! Absolutely LOVE the baby gro 😆. I’m 42, just had a 4th cycle fail in our attempt to have a sibling for our IVF miracle from our first attempt. I’m still producing good egg numbers but sadly poor quality embies. We’re going donor route now and have been matched to a wonderful donor. I still feel such a sense of guilt in giving up on my own eggs but hopefully we’ll have our own miracle soon 🤞x
All posts of hope gratefully received 🙌 So cute! Congratulations warrior sister ! You are amazing ! Wishing you happy days ahead free from scans , gels, injections and vitamins 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥰💐💐💐💐💐🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Oh hope 🥰- little donny is adorable . A big congrats to you. Your story has giving me the hope and will to keep going. Shed tears reading your update. After 2 failed cycles. Turned 42 at weekend and had a panic that I’m too old to try again with my own eggs. So 3rd cycle lucky I’m hoping. Have booked in for July 🤞 congrats again 🥰
Hope76, Many congratulations. Beautiful baby and his outfit made me laugh!I am so pleased for you. You hit the nail on the head with the positive impact this group has on the stresses and turmoil of IVF. You have helped me in my hour of need in just that way.
Thanks for sharing your journey. Donny and Harry have a wonderful mum. XxX
Omg you’re beautiful baby I’m sending you all the blessings in the world for what you’ve gone thru. I had my first ivf round and 1 egg that turned into my perfect baby girl aged 38. Im 39 and am in my 2ww but have had 3bfn four days before otd. And brown spotting. No idea what’s going on and knew that my expectations were set so high after baby girl. I don’t want to give up hope but I don’t know where I’ll find the money to keep going …xx
