Hi nellynel and YellowRose thankyou for your replys, yes i also read a increase of hair growth all over the body but this is mainly on my belly and i've never had hair on my belly before or a hairy belly im beginning to look like a monkey lol, i also read more hair growth could mean its going to be a boy i don't know if its true or not.

YellowRose, Have you meet your midwife yet? im meeting mine in 2wks. Did you have the one or two embryos put back? What would you like a little boy or girl?

Lol, Really! You and me both i won't tolerate a hairy tummy either i did the same this morning in the bath shaved it all offf lol. I do have thick hair its a good job im fair haired and not dark O my! i would look like a monkey haha! xx

Hi sugarandspice120. Only just seen your post as been off with a virus! The most common hairiness during pregnancy is called “linea nigra” and as it says, means black line. This is usually noticed from belly button down to the pubic hairline, but often goes upwards too to just under the “boobs”. All down to hormones, I’m afraid. However, as like you, it can spread over the abdomen. However, please don’t shave it off, as it will disappear when baby is born, and you might end up with a prickly belly! Diane

Hi. Good girl! Best to leave things alone. Well, you're a quarter of the way through your pregnancy already - that's fab! Fingers crossed for the rest of it, and you don't have any probs. If I can help with my midwife hat on at all, ask away. You will probably have had your first appointment with your midwife by now. You will find her so supportive. Diane
