Giving egg collection a go with 2 follicles, you only need 1 egg right.

Have had the choice today to either start again or go ahead with egg collection. After a lot of thought we have decided to go for egg collection on Wednesday with 2 good size follicles and they told me due to my age and levels I have 80% chance of having eggs in them. I know to give us a better chance they recommended to try again but they also told us because of my very high amh that we might be sat in the same position with only 2 because of my stimulation or with them trying a different drug and a higher amount I could just over stimulate next time. We decided it was right with the high chances of having an egg, I know it's got to fertilise. But if no egg or it doesn't fertilise at least we've tried everything we can and will still be funded.

Sorry you were faced with that choice. I think I'd make same decision as you in that situation. You've come this far right and if it's going to fail then least you'll have taken it as far as you can and made it count. Good luck!! xx

Lissy1 only had 1 follicle and ended up with 4 eggs, she is now pregnant nearly 11 weeks. Look at her details. x

I had 1 follicle and 1 egg. It worked! She's now a funny 2 year old! We decided to go ahead, because we wanted to rule out egg quality problems. The egg was fine, I just don't respond to any of the drugs. It's scary because you have few eggs to work with, but a super duper healthy egg is better than 5-6 poor quality ones.

Wow that's anazing, makes me even more sure we made the right decision. They said I might respond to the drugs exactly the same next time and I know I would be kicking myself if that's the case and we hadn't gone for it. Thank you
