Can we keep trying after failed egg collection?

I have a quick question about having unprotected sex again after our failed egg collection. A friend said go for it as we might get pregnant but I phoned the clinic and they said best not to until after I've had a period. Any advice? Our egg collection was last Thursday (we had no embryos).

Hi I was wondering if you had found out why you failed to get any eggs?

I have just recently had egg collection , 3 eggs retrieved , but none were mature. I am at a loss as to how this can be as I think it's quite rare.

My post might be a bit misleading the way I've worded it, we did have eggs (15 actually!) but none of them fertilised with the sperm. We don't know why yet, have our review appointment next Tuesday to (hopefully) get some answers. I'll keep you posted when I know more. When I was given the news that my eggs hadn't fertilised I was devastated and didn't know what to do, I was reading a lot online to find out why it could have happened but honestly u have to try and put it out of ur head until u can meet with ur clinic or doctor. I hope u get some answers soon, it's a horrible thing to happen so early in the process. Try to stay positive, sending you lots of hugs and luck xx

Yeh same thing happened to me . Got 3 eggs though and none fertilised!

The embryology st said they had failed because my eggs weren't mature enough on collection.

I dnt have my review till the 20th.
