Injection Time
Hey, your not on your own !! I worked myself up into a right frenzy about injections and was being a perfectionist with the measurements etc so much so me and my OH had a big row as I was being so uptight. My advice is don't worry so much about it, you can hardly feel it and you will quickly be able to do it in your sleep. I even started to find the whole process quite therapeutic. My husband used to build the syringes and then I just injected myself in my own time. Try to do yourself as I found that was easier and stopped me building it up so much. I'm currently 14 weeks pregnant so something must have been right xxx
Hi. It's not too bad. We are both doing one injection each as I'm on the stims now. My OH did the majority of my down regs. I did them all myself last cycle. I inject my thighs and my tummy so no one point gets sore. Good luck it really isn't too bad x
Like you I got myself worked up on first one and hubby did it. After that I just got on with it myself because I knew there'd be times I would have to do it alone. It becomes part of your daily routine (I went for 8pm) so you just take it in your stride. They're not painful and I stopped mine a week ago and my tummy is clear of any marks. I had one bruise which was my own fault as I jiggled the needle around. On my hubby's birthday we went out for a meal and I was so confident I ended up doing my injections at the dinner table!!! People probably just thought it was insulin!
Good luck! You'll be fine
Don't worry about a common cold. I had flu proper the day I started injections. Nearly didn't make the weigh in (I was slightly underweight) and everything worked out in the end! (IVF round 6)
Hi, my husband did the injections for me! I found putting a bag of ice on the area for a couple of minutes before hand numed any feeling of the needle. We also injected in alternate side each time as my skin was getting bruised. Good look to you both xx
