Got funded for by Barnet PCT 3 IUIs and 1 fresh IVF and 2 FET but iui is unsuitable for us and just had a failed ivf cycle with no frozen eggs. Has anyone had this experience before and is it possible to convert iuis to another ivf cycle? Thanks

If IUI is not going to work for you then I think it's worth appealing, pointing out the reasons why IUI isn't suitable and asking for an additional IVF cycle instead which would be a much better use of resources. You could also point out that the current NICE Guideline recommends up to three IVF cycles. There are never any guarantees with appeals but if you can prove IUI isn't suitable for you then they should at least consider your appeal on that basis. There are template letters on the NHS Funding page of our website which you can use as a starting point, and think about getting in touch with your MP to lobby for full funding in your area as well (again template letters on that page might help) Best of luck, it makes total sense to swap IUIs for an IVF cycle - let's hope the CCG sees it that way as well!
