hi all, has anyone tested progesterone levels after a pregnancy test and had levels go down slightly without a bad outcome?
I was 30.8 prior to transfer, started taking Lubion alongside utrogestan x 3 and on transfer day my levels were at 55. I am 5 weeks pregnant and had a little bleeding a few days back so had my levels retested and I’m now at 41. My hcg seems to be okay but I am getting both retested on Monday. Should I be concerned?

I did not have my progesterone levels tested, as some clinics don’t bother and mine didn’t, but they still put me on 3 Cyclogest + 1 Lubion a day after experiencing a chemical last year. Even on those levels of added progesterone, I still had some form of red bleeding or brown discharge between 3-4 and 9-10 weeks. The biggest culprit was a haematoma discovered at 6 weeks (red bleed with big clots, caused discharge after and likely beforehand too) and then the placenta growing over my cervix at 9 weeks. Both were spotted on the ultrasound, and progesterone is the best treatment for it (just like you, I was already on the max dosage, but they downgraded me to 2 x Cyclogest a day between 12 and 16 weeks). So I don’t know, I can’t answer your question exactly, but based on my experience, I would say you shouldn’t worry if they say that your hcg levels are fine. I think that the next most important test is the viability scan which should be just around the corner, and hope that you’ll see a heartbeat and you’ll be able to breathe a bit easier. Good luck!
