NIPT testing for twins

HiDoes anyone have experience of this test for multiples and how accurate it is? I know it's extremely accurate for singletons but I wanted to know the accuracy for twins.

Hi I had it for a single and believe it was accurate, baby due soon. Was thinking perhaps you could ring a few places that offer it and ask for the data on accuracy to get an idea of they are all similar…

Thank you. Yes, I did just that! It's not quite as accurate for twins but still over 90%. Thank you for replying ☺️

Yes, you're right. I've done some research and it's much higher. The NIPT has come back low risk which I'm very happy about. I think the quad test is a load of nonsense, especially if you're older!

If your older that number chucked into the computer is enough to send anyone over the edge 🫠 glad all low risk for you x 👏🏼

Thanks! Yeah, I think I was high risk regardless of the bloods they did!

There algorithm is not great, as it does not factor in all info. Hopefully this now puts your mind at ease.

Yes you're right. I feel so much better now and hope that other people my age understand this so that they aren't put under as much stress as I've been under this last week!
