just wondering if anyone else is booked for Sunderland Royal and not getting appointments?

At my midwife booking appt, she did my referral for 12w scan and said I was high risk due to my age and would be seen by consultant at the same time. Heard nothing for two weeks, rang the midwife who said everything had been sent over and to call the hospital. Fine, rang them and they said oh yes you should have received an appointment by now. Booked in short notice (which isn’t especially convenient for work or daddy). At the scan we weren’t seen by the consultant sonographer asked why we were high risk, so clearly read the notes and then said I looking nothing near my age and gave us the happy news that baby was ok. I felt such relief I hadn’t thought about the consultant element.

Anyway 16w midwife appt no mention of consultant appt, others are saying they were seen at 12 and 16w so I called the hospital yesterday ‘oh, yes you should have been seen’. Appt booked for next week. I feel like the walking invisible, is this normal from the hospital? Anyone having this? I feel pretty uncared for and I’m losing confidence in the hospital already 🤨

Maybe you should mention at your next appointment how you had to chase your appointment and see how they respond Also speak to your m/wife about your concerns re what what said at your 12wk appt [ about seeing consultant ]
