6 weeks - Clots & Cyclogesf

Hi there,

I am just 6 weeks pregnant. I had a previous ectopic. So was scanned at 5 1/2 weeks to check the position of the baby. Before I went in, I had brown spotting, but everything looked good although too early to detect a heartbeat.

I really thought it was going to be bad news.

I was given Cyclogest at my scan to use and have been on it for 5 days. The bleeding has been brown and a bit off and on until tonight when I had almost a gush of red blood with clots in?

It seems to of kind of stopped now a few hours later.

Anyone else had any type of bleeding with clots in and everything is still OK?

I have a scan in a weeks time.

Hey, I started bleeding at 11 weeks and had some big clots since then (size of the palm of my hand) and they found a big hemotma (10x3 cm). I'm currently 15 weeks but it's scary every time the bleeding starts again.

Bleeding may be due to irritation from using pessaries You can also take this medication rectally Hope every thing stays settled

I had a bleed at 6w +1. It was a gush of blood with clots. It was really scary and I thought it was over. However when I went in for a scan a few days later they told me it was probably a sub chorionic haematoma which are more common in IVF. Baby was fine with a heartbeat. The SCH resolved itself and I'm now 26 weeks pregnant.Keep positive xx
