Reduced movements or not? 28 weeks

I'm 28+5 today and not sure if i'm being paranoid and uber cautious but i felt like babys movements were a little slow through the night and took a while to get going this morning. It's only a slight change but it's got me questioning it now. Do you think it warrants a check?

I found my baby movements sometimes varied and one time around 26 weeks did go in to get myself checked. It was all fine. I would advise eating something and lying down to see if you can feel your baby movements any better.

However, if you are at all worried or in doubt call your midwife and your local hospital. They will advise you on your next steps. I know they always err on the side of caution so you should do the same.

I've just called and they told me to come in. You're right. I did eat and felt a little movement but now i feel i need the reassurance to be sure. xx

I’ve seen you called - I’m hoping everything was okay 🩷

In my experience it’s always better to call and go in; the midwives really don’t mind and they want to support you 🩷

I went in and got hooked up to a monitor, all was ok, thankfully, As you both said, glad i went, they said i'd done the right thing going in! xx

I know you’ve already been in, but just to reassure you I went in for quite a few checks for reduced movements and it was always fine, but ALWAYS go in and get seen if you have any concerns. It’s never a bother to them and you are definitely not causing them any trouble 😊

It's so hard to know what's normal when it comes to your baby's movements. I have also had times where I've worried about my baby's movements as I wouldn't say there's a very strong pattern of movement. When I'm busier and moving around more baby can be quieter, but when I'm not doing much I tend to feel them a lot more. If concerned at all, I'd go into be monitored. Chances are everything will be fine and you'll leace feeling more reassured. I went in recently for monitoring just to be on the safe side. Everything was fine and they didn't mind me going in at all.
