I am 18+4 and have been having on and off achy feeling in my low abdomen and sometimes in my pelvis. It can last a few hours at a time and doesn't seem to have any particular cause. I wouldn't say it is cramps and it's not really painful but it's still making me worry (just like everything!). I lost pretty much all my pregnancy symptoms around 12 weeks but my bump has been growing. For the last 10 days or so I've been feeling some movement, though it isn't consistent and some days I feel almost nothing which obviously also makes me worry even though I know it is normal.
Just really wanted to get that all out and see if anyone else has or had the achy feeling.

Hey, I’m 18+4 today so almost the same! 🥳
I’ve been getting the exact pain you’re describing and read it could be pelvic girdle pain. I tried to call the midwife but gave up because I couldn’t get through lol. I’ll try again at some point today! It is painful though and especially when I’m in bed trying to manoeuvre around into another position 😩
Ahh exciting, almost date twins! Pelvic girdle pain is what my googling came up with too but I wasn't sure if it really matched what I was feeling. I'm not sure it hurts more when I move but I have woken up with the ache when sleeping on my side. I flip flop between being really worried but then thinking it's ok as it comes and goes and I've felt some movement. This journey is so hard!
Haha yesss 🥳 Oh honestly it really is so hard and when you just want to enjoy it, it’s difficult! Give your midwife a call if you have any worries, I’ve been told so many times to just call them if there is anything - that’s why they’re there ☺️
I’ve not felt any movement yet at allll so I’m praying that happens soon because it must be the best feeling in the world 🥰❤️ x
Thanks. The set up with my midwife is that we have to call the labour line if we have any issues which always seems like it should be for emergencies! But I might give them a call just to set my mind at ease.
I know I am super lucky to have felt movement so early. It is great but comes with its own anxiety when there is no movement for a while 🙈 fingers crossed you feel something soon!
Hey, I had similar aches and pains low down around my bump at a similar time. I’m pretty sure it was round ligament pain and it went away. Also don’t worry about inconsistent movements, I didn’t feel much at all until 20 weeks and even then some days i didn’t really feel much! Hope this puts your mind at rest but if you’re still worried it won’t hurt to check with your midwife just for extra reassurance ☺️
