Anyone else really struggling to sleep during 3rd trimester?
I am really tired when I go to bed, but am very anxious about work, baby, labour, money, whether we can manage a 2nd child...you name it!
Don't know how to make it better so I can sleep as a lot of things are out of my control...
Any tips from anyone going through similar?
Xxx

Hey, it’s so hard in the third trimester. Sleep just doesn’t want to happen. It’s not just you. I tried taking a ( not too hot) bath before bed. So nice to take the weight off the bump & helped me relax a little bit as much as we can relax with such precious cargo. Just take care getting out again. I had my partner on hand for assistance. Other things I tried were white noise, good pregnancy pillow & old duvet as a mattress topper to try & get as comfy as possible. Oh & I relegated my partner to the spare room 🙃.

My favourite part of your advice is relegating my partner to the spare room! I think that might also be part of it - I can't stretch out in bed.
can’t say I’m going through similar but I can understand all your worry and fears. It sounds so normal. I’ve got an 8 month old and my partner says we can’t afford a 2nd child. This just seems crazy when we have good jobs but that’s the reality of the cost of childcare. However having a second child then managing to do all the things you mention above are constantly in my mind. But… you’re not far off now… and just believe you’ll manage it all. You’ve done it before you can do it again. And you’ll probably find the second is easier because you won’t have much time so they’ll probably sleep train themselves 🥰 lots of good luck coming your way xx
Ah thanks! Yes everyone says they make it work. We have ok paid jobs too but childcare will cripple us financially - I think we just put 100% into our first child so we need the energy for number 2! 😉
yes same here… just childcare for one will cost 8k (after the tax rebate) for just 2 days a week… that’s an awful lot out of someone’s take home salary so factoring double that for two seems ludicrous! Still… you’ll be fine I’m sure xx
