Nauseous at 33 weeks

I’m 33 weeks today 🥰, been feeling nauseous on and off for the past week. No idea why. It’s in evenings and feels a bit like the first trimester again 😂 anyone got any tips? Don’t really want to take anything. Can I have peppermint tea? Know it settles stomach but I think I read it can slow milk production at this stage or induce labour? Thanks

I've felt a bit nauseous at 36 weeks. I'm guessing my digestive system is squashed. Trying to have smaller meals! But that's just my guess, I don't know if there are other reasons for nausea xx

I also feel nauseous if I go up the stairs too quick!

As the post says everything is getting squashed and causing your digestion to slow down Try eating little and often and avoid spicy fatty foods If it gets worse ask your midwife for advice

Take care

Not heard anything about peppermint tea being a problem 🤔 Sorry you are suffering from nausea. Hope it passes soon. Look after yourself!

Peppermint can make heartburn worse as it relaxes the pyloric sphincter a little, so if the nausea relates to indigestion it can make it worse. Pure ginger tea can help with nausea. You may just find you need to never have too full a stomach. I didn’t have nausea that late but did go completely off my food, struggled to eat much at all. It was just bubs sitting very high. When he dropped slightly my appetite came back. Not long to go now for you xx

Hey,Yay to 33 weeks! But boo to first trimester symptoms!

I've definitely been feeling nausea again in the afternoons like I used to. Plus heartburn when I eat so my solution from first trimester to basically just graze all day is not going to work now! 😆

I like a peppermint tea but actually found ice lollies and milk helping in the evening and definitely shrinking the size of meals but eating often helps.

Also I'm still working like I did, rushing around as usual so actually need to slow down and feel much better when I'm less tired and able to have some restful time in the day - so it's probably my body telling me to take it easy!

We're so close now to meeting our little babies. Hope you feel better soon xx
