this might be a strange one! I am currently just over 18 weeks. I don’t know my exact weight before transfer but I am usually between 59 and 60 kg (5ft3in). I know that in my first trimester I lost a bit as eating was hard but at the end I was just under 60 (morning fasted) over if you weigh me just before my scan when I have a full bladder! 🤣😂 I then had covid and again didn’t really put much on as felt rubbish for 3 days although did make self eat! Since this I have not gone above 60.5 in fact this morning only 60.1. I am really worried that I am going to be harming my baby. I can’t eat massive meals (get full quite quickly) but I graze through the day - trying to stick to healthy options. It was difficult for a few days over Christmas at my in laws as she is of the view eat and drink anything it did me no harm! Also going into her kitchen feels awkward! I am gluten and dairy intolerant although have all the substitutes.
anyone any advice of similar stories or suggestions? Thanks!!

Hey, I am sure you aren't harming the baby as they tend to take what they need and its us that would be left falling short, however it might be worth speaking to your midwife about how you can increase calorie intake a little bit whilst sticking with your grazing and intolerances. It doesn't sound like its a perfect storm weight wise with morning sickness and covid so it might just start to increase now, but maybe there is a way of finding a method of getting more good fats and protein in without feeling so full you can't eat? Hooray for 18 weeks though!! xx
Hi, my sister had hyperemesis gravidarum and was sick through out her pregnancy, barely kept anything down, she didn't put on any weight in fact when she weighted 2 weeks before her due date she was 2 pounds lighter than she was before she got pregnant. Her daughter was born a healthy weight no issues at all and is a smart funny 8 year old now. So try not to worry baby will take what it needs from you and have a chat about your weight concerns at your next midwife appointment they will be able to check you over and reassure you x
I was ill and had to have surgery at 18 weeks pregnant with my last pregnancy and couldn't eat. At the time the consultant explained that the baby had plenty of reserves to draw on from my body regardless of my food intake for that period of time...
I’m exactly the same size/height as you. 32 weeks and had my first bump and baby class last night and was defo the smallest bump!
I weighed same until about week 20 when sickness stopped, but my measurements are fine on the chart. I think a lot is also about how your body carries the baby…
As others have said, baby takes everything from you first… so they’ll be just fine. And my midwife said every person is different. Just keep up the multi vitamin! Good luck xx
