Symptoms - where are they?

Hi, I’m 5wk 5 days - FET and I have zero symptoms. I know it’s still early but I almost want them all to bring some reassurance. Yes I would say I’m more tired; but then I’m always tired 😂 but other than that nothing!

I had my hcg bloods at 4+5 and repeated at 5 weeks and they had all but doubled (97%) which reassured me for all of a day. Is anyone in a similar position? When did your symptoms ramp up, if at all?

Hi lovely,

Congratulations on your pregnancy.

With my first I had absolutely zero symptoms throughout the first trimester - I would have loved anything to make me think I was actually pregnant. But honestly I wasn't sick at all, didn't have sore boobs, didn't feel too tired or really need to pee much more. It all felt very surreal and the only time I believed it was actually happening inside me was at my scans!

When I started to feel little "bubble" movements around 18 / 19 weeks I started to relax a bit - bit honestly no symptoms is completely normal. Especially I think if you are on lots of IVF meds.

Please try not to worry xx

Thank you for taking the time to reply. ❤️

I have got to relax havent I and take it day by day!

It’s just a little hard on an anxiety level to think it’s all going well without a massive rush of all the reported symptoms. X

Oh my gosh, it's the hardest thing in the world to relax when you've been through so much to get pregnant. It's really not easy. For the first few weeks I just kept looking at my positive test over and over to remind myself it was actually real. Then once I'd had my scan I just kept looking at those pictures again and again. I felt like I was going a little bit mad, but you gotta do what you gotta do....

But please don't worry about the symptoms - soon you'll be getting ligament pain and heartburn and insomnia and you will wake at 4am and need to pee and not be able to get back to sleep and you'll be longing for those days of no symptoms!

xx

Oh I truly hope so 😂

I’ll be 6 weeks on Wednesday and for reassurance have booked a blood test just to check the numbers have gone up (I hope considerably) since last Wednesday. Will tide me over before 1st scan in a couple of weeks (I hope!)

To be honest I think checking numbers at this stage can induce more anxiety - especially if it's not exactly what you're after... my clinic made me massively panic last week, as I had positive tests from day 5, but they didn't get much stronger so was expecting a chemical - so I booked in for bloods on the Friday and they came back at 400 (which I thought sounded ok) but they said was a bit on the low side.... had repeat bloods on the following Monday and it had gone up to 1512, so I spent the whole weekend panicking.

But like I say, do what you need to do to make yourself feel a bit more reassured!

xx

Yeah I did consider that actually - as I’ve done a rough calculation of what it should be - but also I feel like I need the safety of being connected to the clinic (odd I know) but I’ve had months of appt after the other etc to just go cold with nothing planned for a few weeks is actually unsettling when I’ve always had the next target date or appt quite soon after the last

No I totally get that - its like you need the connection to feel reassurance.... weird but true!

hello lovely,

I know how hard it is not to worry but please don’t. I too had hardly any symptoms at that GA after my FET but a week later was the first time I threw up. I’m not 10+4 and have thrown up this week more than any other so far. And honestly my nausea/morning sickness is mild compared to others.

I know it’s hard but try not to compare yourself to others. It’s so hard on our bodies isn’t all the medication during ivf.

Congratulations on your pregnancy 🤍

Absolutely - and that whole journey to get here makes it all the more precious to keep 🤞🏻❤️

How are you doing? Xx

Aww thanks for checking in. I’m really well - and spoke too soon, I’ve had some not so lovely waves of nausea 🤢 I went for an early scan at 7 weeks, lovely heartbeat and measuring at 7+1 . I really needed that reassurance and hope it will continue to lift my spirits and keep me taking things day by day x

How are you feeling? Had your sickness subsided? X

I’m ok. Nope it has not subsided just yet. I’m 12+1 today.

It’s reassuring isn’t it!

How far along are you now?

Started at 7w. Nausea all the time, had to take meds on workdays to survive the busy schedule. When I was 5w plus, I told my nurse I thought I didn't succeed then she told me 2weeks later the nausea will likely start. She was right!

But I heard some pregnant ladies had no symptoms. I think you should enjoy it while you can!

Another 8 plus months for me to survive.

Oh gosh! 😅 I’m being impatient - I don’t even want to welcome sickness really - just positive signs connected with every forum and pregnancy article. Take care of yourself -xx

hi I’m exactly the same as you - 5 weeks 5 days and I don’t have any symptoms. I keep getting waves of nausea but it’s not too bad - maybe I should take that as a symptom and it might make me feel better. When is your first scan? I’ve got mine next Friday when I’ll be 7w+2 so I just need to make it until then. And congrats btw!

Congrats to you too! I’ll be on 03.07 so 7+5 - I can’t wait- it’s jusy getting there whilst keeping my sanity 😂

first congratulations 🥳

In terms of symptoms, apart from tiredness I only had symptoms for 2 weeks from week 6-8.

Not had anything else and I’m currently 30 weeks. I do get the whole panic about. Or having symptoms thing. I kept going tests and went for a private scan because I was convinced it was a MMC 🤷‍♀️

It’s entirely natural to be worried.

Well it seems I’ll be getting a scan sooner - today even! Had a bleed last night and whilst it’s tailed off this morning clinic want me to get checked out 🫣

started at 7 weeks but only some mild food aversions, but by 8-11 weeks had all day long morning sickness and fatigue. They will start, try not to worry. Everyone has different symptoms on a different time line. I know it’s an anxious time, I felt the same xx 🍀🍀
