Working during first trimester?

I’m a self employed yoga teacher and haven’t been in the studio since before my embryo transfer. I don’t intend to teach until at least 12 weeks.

I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow and I’m considering taking temp office work to keep me ticking over. I wondered how other girls manage work commitments, especially during these first few months?

Part of me thinks it’s no biggie - it’s just a bit of temping & lots of women have no choice than to continue their busy full on roles. Another voice is saying, why would you do anything new/different during this important time?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Hi to-noodles. Could you hold off until your 6-6 week scan and then consult your GP/midwife. Good luck and hope all continues as it should. Diane

I found working helped me to focus on something else rather than counting down the days until each scan. I have a desk job however and was working from home.

I've been working throughout in a fairly stressful job. It is a desk job though and I've worked from home on days when I've had appointments or felt unwell. I guess it depends whether you can cope with having some time off until you can start yoga again? Having a few weeks off sounds lovely if you can manage it!
