I came off progesterone end of last week as I was 12 weeks. I feel so paranoid since coming off it that my body isn’t going to sustain the pregnancy itself now and if my body notices the drip in progesterone, which it will right as I came off it?, then it will think I’m having a period or something and won’t maintain things for me? I’m not entirely sure how much progesterone my placenta or body will be producing naturally as this stage? (I’m 13 weeks) but all I know is that I keep having a wobble about it and doubting things. Am I worrying about nothing? What if my body no longer thinks I’m pregnant now my progesterone will have naturally decreased? Eeek scary. Thanks x

Wobble since coming off progesterone
Aw, I was really nervous too. But I've been fine, I am 17 weeks now. They say our bodies are producing masses of progesterone so it doesn't matter. If you've been OK so far since stopping, maybe you'll be fine xx
Thanks for the reassurance, it’s scary when been on meds so long. I’ve got a hematoma too and I keep telling myself my spotting has got worse since coming off it but it’s probably about the same and I’m over thinking things! As a hematoma isn’t impacted by progesterone levels anyway so I’m just not being rational X
I was also really scared too - but all went well and going well so far at 24 weeks.....
It's understandable to be nervous.
Xxx
hi princess,
I feel your pain. Coming off progesterone at 12 weeks was probably the scariest part of my pregnancy, it really made me worry and stress about the exact same things you have mentioned above.
I booked a private scan for a few weeks later just to check everything was still ok with the baby and it was. Currently at 19 weeks now, waiting for my 20 week scan next week!
Sending you hugs xx
